  • Im glad shinee are able to talk about jonghyun more openly now. his memory will never be forgotten. and his name should not only be a sad subject. his life that he lived shouldn't be overshadowed by his passing as he was talented, funny, kind, and a great person overall. I love the shinee world family ☺

This is as healthy as I’ve ever seen kpop culture as a whole be. Thank you, Key, for keeping Jonghyun’s memory alive in our hearts. We all miss him.

Can we just appreciate how comfortably Taeyeon guided the conversation back into light hearted territory, and it never felt awkward or forced? I admire that so much.

You guys have to remember, Taeyeon wasn’t a member with Jonghyun but she was EXTREMELY close with him. They were known to be like siblings. So his passing absolutely destroyed her too. It’s very powerful they’re together and able to talk about it ❤
  • @elainevivi
the way kibum and taeyeon talk to each other on the phone at the beginning really shows you how close they are lol

Jonghyun is always SHINee. He is present here even though physically he is not. SHINee are strong kids. Let's support them till the end.

Key is such a good speaker and so emotionally intelligent and comforting. I hope he feels free to talk as much or little as he wants about Jonghyun or other things he struggling with, whatever is the way that he finds the most healing ❤️

I love how they’re talking about him more. The worst thing would be forgetting him and the impact he had…I saw a clip where Taemin just mentioned him in passing so casually. That’s how you heal, it never stops hurting but you find wanting to cry less when talking about them as time goes on. We should never forget him.

the way Taeyeon got quiet when he started talking about the speaker. I am happy they have each other to talk to about this.

Taeyeon is such a great listener! It's not easy to find someone by your side who can calmly listen to your inner feelings. Glad Key could open up to her. "It's okay to miss Jonghyun" very well said.

Whether Jonghyun is here or not, he will always be SHINee and he will always be in our heart.

I started watching SHINee career after Jonghyun passed on, but I've watched A LOT of the MV and live performances with Jonghyun and this chat made me cry. I can't imagine what those young men went through and probably are still going through with his passing. Now, with Onew being ill, it has to be extra scary. Taeyeon is such a wonderful listener.

I remember I was afraid to hear “Replay” without Jonghyun because it’s one of my favorite songs of all time. It’s a classic & without him, it will never sound the same, I cried so hard watching their first live in Japan without Jonghyun, all the members were broken… his standing mic with the rose & when his voice came out, I just lost it. Everytime I comeback to watch this clip of Key being honest with Taeyeon, I cry 😭
  • @souljourney60
You suddenly said it because Jonghyun's energy was with you in that moment - his spirit was there - he has never left you - he is always with SHINee
  • @lena__speaking7080
"It's okay to miss Jonghyun" - thank you for this words, Key. Sometimes talking about him feels like a taboo but that should never be the case. It's okay to miss him, to cry, to grieve, to be sad and most importantly to talk about him. For shinee as well as for shawols. He will always will be a part of his brothers in Shinee and us all ♥️
  • i hope people won't always be so upset when jonghyun is mentioned. his passing was sad of course, but he made himself a legendary figure. he was kind, funny, inspiring, talented, and passionate. i'm tired of people making his legacy his death because he is so much more than his death. he spent half of his life training to be an idol and performing as an idol. he poured his soul into his work and you could tell. not only was he a great performer but he was also a great producer who also made songs for other people alongside his own. I think I'll always be a little sad about him, but a bigger part of me will remember him as I remembered him while he was alive. To me, he'll always be that amazing guy who's vocals could cover a stadium and that funny guy that would everyone burst into laughter. that's just who he was and that was his legacy. he was insanely talented and he lit up the room in laughter. i don't ever want to forget those memories of him

Jonghyun helped me through my hardest times as a teenager, whether it was through his incredible music or his positive and bubbly personality. His passing took such a huge toll on me I stopped listening to kpop all together and tried to push away every ounce of sadness I felt. It's been 5 years since I properly listened to shinee and seeing the members talk about him and their memories so openly lately (+ their new BANGER album) has reopened that wound to properly let it heal. I never knew a person I never met or who didn't know who I was could have such a big impact on me, but there are still days I cry knowing I couldn't help him considering how much he helped me. Shinee will forever be 5 no matter what, and I'm glad I finally decided to revisit my ults❤

It must have been difficult for a long time, but I understand what Key means. The best thing is to accept that you miss that person and not try to avoid it because that does not help to heal, it only worsens the pain and extends it for longer.
  • @xdevilahmet
Jonghyun had a unique voice. His voice was very powerful and he was also super lyricist and composer. SHINee was able to success without him but he was the most important member. :(
  • @julietm1028
It’s so admirable and beautiful that they all continue to preserve Jonghyun’s memory each and every day. I empathize with them greatly on the fact that it’s a lot more difficult to sing older songs without him. They are all so so strong and it truly shows the love they have for each other and for their craft to continue to perform.
