In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This talk gave me so much strength. I was diagnosed with an illness that doesn't have a cure yet very recently and it feels like God has sent me this video.

I Just Read He Passed Away. We need People Like He Now More than ever Here on Earth. May He Rest In Good GOD'S Presence.
  • Within the first minute of his talk, he said something so profound. "Never believe a prediction that doesn't empower you." I love this so much. And he outlived ALL of his doctors! Love it.

My father and I were both born with the same birth defect as Sean. In so many ways he reminds me of my dad both in personality and it looks. Rest in peace Sean and please hug my dad in heaven for me.
  • @ThotWalter
Rest in peace dear Sean, I write from Bolivia, you inspired thousands of people around the globe
  • Take-aways: I am enough. I am loved. I love myself. When I love myself and I master my emotions, I am free. I choose a life of strength. Never believe a prediction that does not empower you. Everyone is rooting for me to win, even those that do not know it. I’m an expert on how to be me, and I do it well. The only disability is the refusal to adapt. Adaptation is a celebration of life. If I celebrate my life, people want to be around me, learn from me, do business with me, and hire me.

I was in a special ed program. In my senior of highschool, I was told by the career counselor that I was not smart enough to go to college. It took me 10 years, but I graduated with a bachelor's in political science. Seeing this guy tells me that there are other people that are worse off, but he has done well because of his awesome attitude about overcoming his disability. He is an inspiration.
