You got Mitch-slapped! Great reaction. They are all incredible but I'm a Mitch stan for life. He truly does have a unique, once-in-a-generation voice! It grabs you by the heart
  • O and don't forget that they were nominated for 5 grammys, won 3, received their own star on "walk of fame". The ONLY Acapella group ever to accomplish that. Kirstie ( rhyme with thirsty) and the guy with the high tenor voice - Mitch- look different on so many video's. Real chameleons. Again greetings from the South African Pentaholic
  • @benardawong569
Dude they are five times nominated three times Grammy winners
  • @Gillie51-bl8su
Your expression when you had to go back and catch when Mitch Grassi's solo began for the second time... You've just been Mitch slapped! 😉 I recommend their version of John Lennon's 'Imagine'...
  • @Gwennedd
Congrats on your first real Mitch Slap. That look of amazement when you first hear Mitch Grassi sing in his higher range is called a Mitch slap. Yes...they actually WERE singing at the Grammys. They were part of the B list ( pre-Grammy show, ushering in the show with a couple of other artists.) Yes!! Do Kiss From A Rose. Their arrangement is amazing. Use the Vevo live version.

👋👋😃PENTATONIX performed at the Grammys this past weekend!! They were part of a tribute to Prince They were ALSO NOMINATED. This is their 5th Nom along with the 3 Grammys they have already won. ONLY A capella group to EVER be nominated much less ACTUALLY WIN A GRAMMY! They ALSO received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame a year ago. ONLY A Capella group to EVER receive one. In this video Avi is the deep bass. Avi (Ah-vee) is the guy with the full Beard and beanie. (He was the bass from when the group formed in 2011 to end of 2017). When Avi is singing his lead the tall blonde guy who sang first "Scott" takes over the bass . The lady is Kirstin or Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) The guy with the big hat is Mitch. Avi left the group on good terms in late 2017 and the new bass is Matt. The black guy Kevin is the beatboxer .
  • @Doglyvr
Mitch ,Scott and Kirstie have been singing together since high school choir . They found Avi and Kevin a few days before they auditioned for the sing off tv show and they all worked so well together. When Avi left they auditioned Matt and he’s fit in well as the bass.

Kiss From Rose, The Prayer, 90’s Dance Medley, and any others that sound interesting to you. They never disappoint. Great Reaction! 💕💕
  • Your first official Mitch-slap 🥰, that's the feeling you get when you hear Mitch (the one with the hat) sing!
  • Kiss From A Rose is amazing. Make sure you do the live VEVO version. PTX is one of the few groups that can upgrade their studio performance with a live one. They have done the Grammy a few times, as well as other award shows.
  • @mikecoleman2003
Hey dude. Great reaction. BTW, PTX performed the opening act of this year's Grammys along with Sheila E, and others. They were also nominated this year for their Christmas Around The World album.
  • @jru3949
They also have played the grammys😊
  • Came back for the Mitch-slap and was not disappointed! Great reaction! Hope you continue to do PTX and enjoy the ride! There is so much to hear and see with them and you will not be disappointed with any of their upgrades or originals. They are the reason for the resurgence in A Capella.

That bass is the amazing Avi Kaplan! He has since left the group amicably for personal reasons, but has a stellar solo career going. Definitely worth checking out. Most reactors will start with the first song he released after leaving Pentatonix Change on the Rise, some other recent notables (although everything he has released is amazing) are All is Well from the 7 Layers sessions, When I'm a Fool live from Sunset Sound, and his last 2 releases Healing and Feel Alright. Subscribing in hopes you will react to Avi's music.
