I love how the Total Drama crew used the original character designs for many of the interns and other unimportant background characters. It shows that they wouldn't let those designs go to waste, so they still incorporate them in the final product.

Is it weird to say I actually like Beth's prototype design more than her final? There's just something about it that gives her more personality, honestly wish they'd just cleaned it up and kept it for her.

Cody’s prototype design was originally Duncan’s first design, then it got repurposed and renamed Cody.

I actually really like Gwen’s old design! I wish they had a season where instead of the main cast they had their relatives come in and compete in the season. Gwen’s old design could’ve been her cousin or something.

I think the actual reason for Owens shirt change was that this show was SUPPOSED to air on Adult swim but didn't and ended up with another broadcast company instead. Like if your really think about it, some of the crap that happens in that show definitely makes more sense when you realize it was originally aimed at adults rather than teens

The rewatchability of the first season is insane. It's interesting to see how TDI initially started out. Pretty cool they reused alot of the scrapped designs for interns and background characters!

tbh, I kinda prefer that old Bridgette design to the current one. It just looks a bit cuter imo. Maybe they could use it for a different character? Honestly, I’m not really sure if Pahkitew Island has enough behind the scenes stuff to talk about, but idk.

Great vid man. Have you ever done a character derailment/growth video? Where you could talk about every character that had a change to their arc or personality? I think you've touched upon certain points in videos but I don't know if you've done a whole video focused on it. That would be an interesting video, I would love to hear your input.
