New York toxic waste tunnels is by far one of the most out of knowhere, unrealistic developments I have seen in a horror movie like what was even happening.

What I find funny of "Takes Manhattan" was that, in the videogame of Friday the 13th, you have the models of all Jasons and each versions are pretty faithful to the one you see in the movies, inclusing the unmasked faces. But of course, being a videogame, you can see it's a model, "uncany valley" realistic... and YET Unmasked "Jason takes Manhattan" Jason in the game... LOOKS WAY MORE REALISTIC than in the movie.

At the beginning, it was just kill counts, but later on they did other series of videos, like podcasts, gaming videos, and cut comparisons of movies. But their main series are kill counts.
  • In regards to Jason being able to actually teleport, all of the circumstances displayed each have some context that makes it hard to concretely prove it as definitively teleportation. Friday the 13th Part VI: When a couple is stopped by Jason and Darren forces Elizabeth to drive forward, almost hitting him then gets out with a pistol to threaten him then gets stabbed, while she panics getting out into the mud going through her wallet to get money out sees Jason has appeared behind her. Elizabeth took about 8 seconds rummaging looking down at her wallet in mud and since the vehicle was parked directly in front of Jason at the moment she got out, he would only realistically need to cover like at most 10 feet by just walking maybe a little faster. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Miles running away after an unsuccessful strike against Jason on the upper deck and then climbing down away to the deck below. Then attempts to escape by climbing up the ladder with Jason suddenly appearing upon him finally killing him. The total distance for the first instance of Miles getting away to the deck is close enough that Jason can get down by having jumped, and it should be noted he did start slowing down upon reaching midway up the ladder, about 7 seconds off screen. Both wouldn't realistically be all that difficult to do especially since Jason regularly falls of heights and injuries no regular person can endure. Later when Eva seemingly encounters Jason in the Disco lounge of the boat and looks around to see him appearing randomly over each exit of the room. At first glance this is undeniable proof of him being able to teleport..........BUT it was shown earlier she had taken drugs after initially having refused and there's actually a sign above the Second Jason that reads Purser (Officer on a ship that keeps the accounts) that is stationary and how he doesn't actually breathe the entire time unlike when Jason busts into the lounge where we do hear his raspy breathing. Which combined with Eva having spun around the lounge 7 times, loud music and lights glaring, and the panic of an actual Serial Killer going after you, can have left Eva to believe he's teleporting when in actuality she's simply been hallucinating about Jason being all over the room. Plus when Jason enters the lounge we can see that he looks left from his position which can likely be seen as not him choosing to teleport there but simply wondering why Eva is visibly distressed when there's nobody actually there. The third and last being when Jason pursues a man, Charles down the street and he enters a building while checking behind him, then Jason seemingly teleports to the second story of a building and threw his victim out of the window and then appears down to the ground murdering him. Now this actually gets weird, well weirder than it already is but when we see the shot of the building spanning for 7 seconds and that Charles does check behind himself multiple times, next after when Charles gets thrown out we also see that he has his arms protecting his face which wouldn't be possible if Jason really HAD gotten a hold of him. And afterwards we see Jason goes to his right which is another crucial detail since that's a different direction from the stairs that he would have to take to get down from to him. Lastly when Charles see Jason we do see the undead Serial Killer appear in front of him which is a markedly different direction away from the stairs again. TLDR : The evidence of Jason being able to teleportation isn't really definitive enough to say he can (He does in the Friday the 13th Game, but never explicitly in canon) and the instances for teleportation can be feasibly achieved by a really physically fit person which Jason is noted to be back even as just a Regular-ish Human before becoming a Supernaturally stronger undead Serial Killer that can casually tear apart people and trees. There are also apparently Comics and Books that have more Feats for him like being able to regenerate after a grenade took out most of his torso in at most seconds which is also noted in his Death Battle with Michael you reacted to before.

16:20 Oh, this reminds me: this is the only time (i think) James compares together a teathrical and "directors cut" releases in a Kill Count. He would later do a separated mini-series called "Cut Comparison" in which he compares more detally the differences, the added kills, overall changes. When you reach the Halloween franchise, I would suggest to watch them too... pretty interesting and quite short.
  • I'm seeing some people asking to skip to the Elm Street movies after Friday the 13. I'd advise against that as after Elm Street is gonna be Freddy Vs. Jason once again, but with the prospective of focusing slightly more on Freddy. If anything, just stay the course with the chronological order and you'll reach Elm Street in no time.

Weirdly enough Jason x is pretty well liked in the community especially for how buck wild the plot is. I think it helped that the franchise was already getting ridiculous so when they just went all in with x it was just ironically funny
  • @Trilaan
My favorite easter egg in Jason Goes to Hell is the appearance of the Necronomicon and a dagger from the Evil Dead Franchise.
  • 27:57 to answer your question a freddy vs jason movie had been in the works and development hell since around jasons 7th film and Freddys 4th and by jason goes to hell the rights Jason were sold to new line cinema who held the rights for freddy krueger, so that teaser at the end was to tell audiences a freddy vs jason movie was in the works
  • @nerddwarf
0:45 I'm taking this as confirmation that kyle is doing both the originals and the recounts, and that makes this internet stranger happy.
  • Ironically, the egregious thing to me about Jason Takes Manhatten, or at least the Dead Meat video on it, isn't the toxic waste sewers. It's that James apparently thinks that lakes can't have rivers leading off of them.
  • I feel like he gonna watches Freddy vs Jason Kill count 3 times (Jason/Friday version, Freddy/Nightmare version and then Recount)
  • @broccoliben7961
MatPat did a film theory about whether or not Jason teleports and he directly mentions these videos
  • @alexisbidule5555
The more impressive with the "a video every week ( ans sometime more)" is that at the begnining James had an other job and was doing the kill count alone (now he have a whole team)
  • "Where's Batman?" 2:42 There is an advertisement for the '89 Batman movie, aka a big Batman symbol.
  • @darkcarnage9188
they are kind of hinting that the evil that made Kuger also is semi-repostable for Jason in goes to hell. as he was try to set up the cross over of the 2 killers.
  • @pandanoko729
Not sure if someone already said this but Film Theory actually did a video explaining all of Jason’s teleportation moments and showing how he never actually teleported in the movies
