It's been a year since the last jump starter review. Please let me know if there are more brand's you'd like tested. When i used to drive Tow truck doing roadside assistant, our whole fleet carried the NOCO brand. It's very heavy duty, Been in the heavy Florida rain, never had a problem and put that thing through the ringer and it still works as new today. Highly recommend
  • Bought a cheaper “TopVision” jump box based on your last review of these boxes. Still going strong several years later including dozens of jumps across cars, trucks, and a couple tractors.
  • @flanadu
I bought the Yesper YP40 for both myself and my wife based on this review and a recent cold spell killed her battery and with the boost function she started her battery literally 4 times in one day with no problems preventing her from being stranded.
  • I bought the NOCO from this review in the hopes it would jump start our big equipment as they sit for days at a time and charging with a truck takes at least an hour. NOCO jumped our D6, 88" Roller, And Gradall in one charge with no problems and power left over to jump more. Thank you for this review, I have bought 8 more for my foreman to keep in their trucks.
  • I use the Noco everyday in my job (CAA. Canadian AAA) that thing will start transports at -40, I keep it fully charged in my truck and bring it inside at home night time, I have thousands of starts on my pack, it’s 4 years old now. Still works perfectly

Let's all take a moment to remember all the clocks and radio presets that gave their lives so that this test could be performed.
  • I love Project Farm's content, so I mean this all in a complimentary way. When he's reading product marketing or features, his delivery is so consistent that he sounds like a well-designed AI voice bot. I like it because it suggests that every unit is getting a fair assessment. It also makes it that much more noticeable when a product performs above expectation and he "goes a little wild". "Very Impressive!".

Thank you Mr. Farm. Once again your reviews came to my rescue. I pulled out my old Harbor Freight jump starter today to charge it and discovered that the battery pack had swollen tremendously, so that's headed for the recycling bin. Amazon serendipitously had the Gooloo GT4000S as a "deal" for $129.99. (on 1/2/2023).

It'd be great to see how well these hold a charge after sitting for a while like the back of a trunk. Maybe even comparing units from your previous reviews if you still have them to see how well battery has held up over time
  • @MrSpokanistan
It’d be pretty interesting if you revisited the Jump-Packs from the original video you made a few years back and see how they perform versus new. Regardless, it’s really nice seeing you remake an older video with new products. Keeps it current and up to date!

At our auto shop, we moved from a really large Snap On unit to two of these NOCO units and couldn't be happier. Also, when one started to act strange during charging, they gave us a brand new unit without any fuss. That's important for us because it's a big part of why we pay a premium for snap on. Their service too has always been amazing.

I have had my current jump starter for about seven years. Realized the other day it is no longer holding a charge, so I now have to buy another jump starter. I was sitting on Amazon trying to figure this out when I said to myself, "I can't trust these reviews. I don't know how many of them may be fake. Screw this, I'm going to find Project Farm to see if he's done a video on this." Lo and behold, you have. Thank you for taking the time to test these various products. You have literally saved me the guesswork on buying items for my Ford truck.

Been using the NOCO gs20 for over three years now in my wife's hrv. She never charges the thing and always leaves it in the car but it has always been able to jump her car, even during the winter. Been incredibly impressed with how it holds a charge and cranks over. Worth the extra money for peace of mind.
  • I have a charger in both cars. I don’t recall the names, but one was under $100 and I believe the other was just over $100. These little boxes are a great piece of technology. I remember the days when the only option was to jump start the car, or take the battery over to your local gas station to have them charge the battery. That was when gas stations were actually service stations with mechanics on duty to work on your car, if needed. The good old days! Thanks for the tests on the charger boxes!
  • @coolmountaineer
Man, your reviews are unmatchable! You dig deep into the product debunking cheating brands with their fake specs! I subscribed to the channel after I watched the video "Penetrating oil...." about 4-5 years ago. Love to see you 3M subs, you deserve it!
  • Hi Todd, always a huge fan of your videos. Needed a booster pack, remembered, watching this, came back, and I just ordered a Yesper based on your recommendations. Thank you. Looking to upgrade my battery charger as well, perhaps that could be an upcoming test. Keep up the good work.
  • I just was thinking this morning that I wished you would do a video testing and reviewing Jump Starters. Thanks a lot. You are a YouTuber that we can trust and rely on to make purchasing decisions. No click-bait titles, no fake reviews, no stupid mugging-face thumbnail pictures. An honest channel for people who want the truth about products. Thank you.
  • I bought the Gooloo after your testing from awhile back. It's been a literal lifesaver. It's never failed and has saved me from being completely stranded. Your videos have been so incredibly helpful thank you!
  • @Jeff92346
The new kid in town in Jump Starters seems to be the capacitor-based units. It would be great to see how various brands if these jump starters perform against each other and against the lithium batter based jump starters.
