Finally someone actually interviewed Smack about filming battle rap during the early day. Everyone else just ask him about upcoming battles and league drama 😂

Smack needs to do a Netflix special and take all them old tapes out the vault and show everybody what we've been watching for 15 years😮
  • @MikeyVeeTV
Smack giving Avo all his flowers was beautiful
  • @cdizzle
This is a historic piece of art that belongs in the Smithsonian

Shout out to Avocado and everyone else at Ruin Your Day, this is a really cool and insightful video, and probably the most I've seen Smack go into detail about filming the classic SMACK DVD battles. Documenting this kind of history is super important, and I'm glad to see Smack talk about all this.

I always wanted to see Smack do a Volume at the Rucker Park. That would be so crazy & bring back that old DVD vibe.

This was almost like a mini Battle Rap “VH1 Behind the Music”… We NEED this to be a series where the heavyweights of the culture get asked these really meaningful and personal questions and be given a chance to tell their side of amazing moments we all remember. I’d love to see ARP, Organik, Lux, Mook, T-Rex, Tay Roc, Clips, Verb, Arsenal, Math Hoffa, Dizaster and I could think of dozens more I’d love to see discuss historic battle rap stories and moments.

It's crazy when he said he was out in the rain trying to get Busta on film for some bars. That's deep because he went from trying to get those big names on film to those big names coming to a Smack event to watch HIM! Crazy how hard work pays off.

If URL dropped more content like this reminding the fans of all the work they put in they'd get way less hate. Shout out to probably the two biggest people who have helped build this culture that arent rappers, Smack and Avo
  • @minzy421
I hope one day we can see url vs kotd
  • @dickiegaming6836
Smack created an era and helped other battle rap groups find their peak by giving talented people a shot on stage. He's the goat fr.🔥💯
  • @acpjr
Finally, a normal conversation instead of compromised media kissing his ass and Smack giving canned answers. Smack said "I'm a cameraman" and to see what a cameraman built over time is quite impressive and inspiring. It's no surprise there isn't a close second to URL, there isn't an entrepreneur willing to dedicate their life to building a hiphop business.

.seeing smack on ruin your day is actually the craziest shit all year to me
  • @aaronc.7972
Thank you for going behind the scenes with the face of battle rap Avo. I'm sure SMACK was relieved to not get asked TMZ questions for once.
  • @ItsaColdWorl
Smack is a real Godfather to this battle ish. From his raw classic Smack DVD era showcasing different battlers, rappers that became well known to creating the largest battle rap league globally. This man deserves a legacy award. Smraaaacckkkk
