How Long Will Borderlands 4 Keep Us Waiting?

how long you ask? as long as it takes to get better story writers

They need to make this game GREAT. I simply cannot stress enough how important it is for gearbox to take BL4 seriously. It needs to be the best damn game they’ve ever put out. That’s what it will take to get people to trust gearbox again. After the mixed response for BL3, the endless criticism for wonderlands, and the unanimously hated new tales of the borderlands. Gearbox’s reputation has pretty much hit rock bottom at this point. If they release another bad game it’s all over for them

I got back into bl2 recently and wow, the difference in the writing is crazy

They should have added DLC playable characters for borderlands 3. Would have added more replay ability

I hope they come out with a final DLC for BL3. I feel like there is still something missing like about the trio of Brick, Mordecai & Tina and what their path will be as Tina’s “Fathers” maybe we’ll see one of the people that were around when Tina’s parents were killed or something. I don’t know there’s just more to tell, each other character for their part just not the 3 of them.

I want something solid because Ava showed potential with some of the post game content, I want 4 to impress me and make me HAPPY to see Ava...whether that is making her more unique(looking for Lilith who she thinks is alive, making her a damaged shell of her former hopeful self as a tragic parallel to her former teacher) or maybe even heel turning her in a sick bit of meta commentary on the character. I want something GOOD.

Hopefully they take some advice from the players who play borderlands 24/7 when they decide to make borderlands 4. They could of done so much with Wonderlands with alot of imagination since it is Dungeons and dragons based. i love the creating your character part since ive been wanting that for a while but they need to make the story better if they decide to make borderlands 4. Im still gonna pre order it since i love the franchise but i hope it isnt a huge letdown

BL 4 sounds like waiting for a disappointment, with terrible characters like "Ava the forcibly inserted main protagonist" still presumely being in it.

Borderlands 1 was my first introduction to RPG's in 2009 because before that, Halo and GTA were the only games I played. I actually appreciate the Borderlands games much more now than I did 14 years ago and I hope they take their sweet time with BL4.

I m more concerned, what story they want to tell. Pandoras Story is finished, the great Vault is sealed. Sure they could go for the origin of the Sirens or who the Eridians are, we still got the weird Alien from BPS, that promissed us a big fight, but will Borderlands feel the same without the Mystery of the Vault on Pandora ?

1) I'd like to see an option to craft own guns from the collected parts (with possible legendaries). For example, by mixing a rocket launcher's ammo depot with a machine gun's firing system to make a mini rocket machine gun giving you fast explosive bullets at the expense of reload and aiming. 2) The guns should interract with the environment. Say, you shoot an electric beam into water to electrify all standing in it. Or a fire weapon making trees & grass catch on fire. So far we saw elements only interact with flesh/metal/shield, but it could be expanded. Just imagine what could happen on-screen when you burn the forest or a wooden village by throwing grenades that shower incendiary bullets 360 degrees all around!

Honestly, I’d love to see a remake of the first three Borderlands titles with the graphics and gameplay of BL3 with the script of the originals; the best of both worlds in almost every way.

It's still amazing to me how they fumbled a amazing idea like wonderlands especially when they built it off a bl2 dlc

I really wanna see b4 revamp the stories direction as well as the writing I think b3 really nailed the gameplay, weapons, graphics, etc. The writing just needs to be taken more seriously along the lines of b2 or TPS still having jokes and fun/dumb side quests but the main story in 3 really suffered from too much joking around. I’ve been playing borderlands since 2009 it’s one of if not my favorite franchises I’ve sunk countless hours into it and I really hope we see b4 become the best game yet

Like the star wars battlefront fans when the game first came out💀

I really want to play psycho again, that was one of the most satisfying characters I have ever played, would love to see him in the comeback
