This is my entire Great Divide experience from summer 2020. I started the ride on the Canada/Montana border on July 15th and rode for 26 days to southern Colorado. This long edit is a bit different than my previously released series. I took out all the music and left in just natural sounds. I love the soothing soundtrack of tires crunching on gravel.
Here's info on the bike I that I was riding and designed, the Priority 600x www.prioritybicycles.com/products/600x

  • I’m a cyclist of 34 yrs and try to get out 5 x a week. Yes even in the winter. As I age it gets harder and harder. I had my crazy days in the saddle. This video intrigued me and I’m quitting my job, retiring, and gonna do one last push. Thanks for the video.

I really do appreciate that you did not add any music. I love that you share the Sound of Nature, the Tires on the ground, the Chain, the Wind, the birds, your breathing, the Rain and hail. So you let us hear what you hear. Thank you !!!
  • Oh my goodness!! This is my dream. Thank you so much for doing this. When I was a youngster I rode my bike everywhere. I loved it. I’m 67 years old now and my husband, my best friend, has gone on without me. The only reason I have to claw my way up out of the darkness is to ride my bike on a great adventure. Thank you so much for giving me hope!!!❤

I might be a little late to the party but I have say that you have constructed a beautiful and intimate road trip documentary that is not only warm and full of positive interaction but also technically very impressive. I appreciate the meticulous care you have taken in your editing, the pace is pitch perfect. Your GoPro and drone camera work is excellent and really captures the enormity of your undertaking. Your commentary adds genuine depth and soundtrack of tyre on grit and tastefully foregoing the dreadful generic overly loud beat heavy soundtrack is just super welcome. We get a sense of who you are without unnecessary personal detail, it was compelling from start to finish without ever succumbing to cliche.

Absolutely loved the fact that there was limited dialog , zero busy "filler" talk and no music. Very natural-excellent!
  • The lack of music gives this one a sort of Zen quality. Especially scenes with just trail noise & nature sounds.
  • I started cycling as a 5 year old boy,I've cycled all of my adult life, I'm 52 this summer and as times gone on I've been able to cycle less and less and shorter distances. I've had surgeries on both my knees but now after I cycle they swell and hurt. You never know what you'll miss until its gone. If you are watching this video and you're fit go and get out there whilst you can.

Planned on watching a couple minutes out of curiosity, couldn't stop, it was mesmerizing yet engaging. You have serious talent for shooting and editing, amazing work!

Editing this together was almost as big of a commitment as riding the divide, ha! It’s unlike anything I've made before and I hope you like it. Who is planning on riding this in 2021? Here’s my gear list and info about the bike https://youtu.be/UDvaYSwNr_E

this is honestly the best video i’ve watched on youtube. i’m a 17 year old who’s got a pretty negative world view but this videos reminded me of how beautiful this world really is and how many unique and interesting people live here
  • At 1:29:28 or mile marker 15.5 Cr #3(Ute pass)in vid between kremmling & silverthorne, 14.5 marker is now a water station either by mail box or under pine tree at road, anyone can help themselves as did about 4 cases this past summer. Camp as long as owner is around, that's Me! Met and have hosted many wonderful folks on their ride. Thanks Ryan for showing what ya'll really are doing out there on bikes, very cool!

The drone footage of the wild horses is hard to beat. What an excellent trip you had!

Mira is a treasure. What a sweetheart! It took a while for me to realize, there's little to no music in the video and I really appreciate that. Hearing the chatter of the wind, the gravel crunching beneath the tires, I love it. It really makes me want to get back out on a trail of my own!
  • I got fired from my job and dicided to bike the gdt watching this for reaserch thx so much for this really puts what im going to do in perspective

I came across this YouTube video last night and I want to thank you for it from the bottom of my heart. One of my closest friends, who also happened to be my first cousin, passed away Friday. I found solitude and peace in your video. I found calm. My buddy Gary died from COVID on Friday. He was 41. He never even made it to a ventilator. While he didn’t ride bikes much (though he did a little at one point in his early adventures with his wife and the kids), my only wish is I had come across this a week ago while he was in the hospital, alone, battling this terrible virus. I think he would have been able to find some peace in the beauty of the outdoors which you so elegantly capture in this video. He loved the outdoors. Best to you. And thank you. My wife and I watched it in full last night.

The amount of people providing free shelter is outrageous and amazing. What legends.
  • @raxis1000
You know what I like it the most? Where anybody will be pissed off. You keep smiling again and again.
