I've never heard this side of George Harrison before. Bluesy, raspy, soulful. He was an awesome talent.
  • I was at this concert. George was hoarse throughout the tour. Nobody cared (besides the trash reviewers). He was George, and he was exquisite. Thank you George, John, Paul and Ringo. You wrote the soundtrack to my life.

Poor george. Even though he was losing his voice he was so determined to preform.

I saw George at the second show of 1974 concert in Seattle. He was getting over a bad cold. He said this is for my friend John and started singing this.

In a few days, George Harrison will be dead for 20 years. George was one of, if not, the most talented musicians to emerge from the 1960s. He was a genius songwriter, a beautiful singer and a kind soul as well as one of the Beatles. Only if George and John were around today to see the impact they have made on the younger generation. Thank you George. R.I.P. 1943-2001
  • I love this version cos it’s so different to the original. He takes it and makes it his own. Plus ilove how at the end he says “john lennon, thank you”. Awesome.

That's dedication. It had to hurt to sing. He did it anyway. Beautiful man, inside and out. ❤

Robben Ford sure has good taste in guys to sit in with. He adds some great sizzle here. The groove settles in beautifully. And Billy Preston– the icing on so many Beatley cakes.

you can feel the soul in his voice, in his singing. that's what it counts. It is the most heartfelt, and heartbreaking, tribute to the Beatles ever done. Done by a Beatle, indeed. Beatle George, the greatest of them all.

Heard this version during Harrison's 1974 concert tour in Dallas-Fort Worth when his voice was virtually gone. It was still amazingly beautiful and soulful.

George sang harmony vocal, and played lead guitar on this Beatles track...he has every damn right to do it any way he choses creatively.
  • 45 dates in less than two months all across North America A very long set list And hundreds of people on board to pay... The stress was enormous No wonder his voice was shot...
  • This is so incredible I can see it it in my head. I like this way 100% more, you can tell a lot of Clapton rubbed off on him. So raw and emotive. I've never heard him wail on guitar like that b4, just a real kick-ass find. We miss you George!

What a great soul. George was such a great talent. Undoubtedly the most unique Beatle
  • My wife and I saw George in Tulsa in 1974. He was hoarse but the concert was great and I’ll never forget it. Love George!
