Don’t be surprised if Yared Nuguse does his talking on the track and win the Olympic 1500m gold medal in Paris this year.

Jakob is going to come into the outdoor season like an anime protagonist who's been off-screen for a season training just to reveal his new power level.

I think one thing you missed and what very few people are talking about, is that Jakob was only 22 last year when he was setting records, while Kerr was 25 during worlds and 26 during this indoor season. This is relevant because while Kerr is now in his prime years for middle distance, Jakob is still 2, maybe 3 years away from that. This is relevant because Jakob will have a huge advantage moving forward as his body finishes developing, and he's already been an athlete who has consistently improved every single year. We won't know until we see him race, but I think Jakob will be the better of the two.

I think Steve Cram’s one dimensional comment might’ve been referring to Jakob’s style of racing not his versatility to run different distances.
  • @kuweibin
The clickbait titles needs to stop for sure.
  • I think what Steve kram (no clue if I’m spelling this right) mean by one dimensional is that Jakob tends to run races in the same way, go out hard near the front, hold the lead, and then kick with that ever you have left and NOT that he can only run one event. And this has worked very well of Jakob, he runs fast consistently, and he makes all these races fast, irrespective of if it’s the 1500 or the 5k. However, Josh Kerr can run from the middle, he can sit n’ kick, or he can do the Jakob and run from the front (though I think Jakob is still better at this). Looking forward to the Pre!

I’m praying that they both stay healthy between now and Paris, this showdown will be legendary.
  • In my opinion I feel for Jakob Ingebrigtsen, he has been going through a lot. Yes he is arrogant however in this sport confidence comes with success. Also, Jakob's comments are all very indirect towards Josh Kerr but Josh on the other hand out right directly trash talks Jakob. Good video TRP!!!(:

Can we all agree that whatever the result we want to see the clash
  • @ABPerlov
    So why does it have to stop? Favourites don't always win the Olympic 1500m final. 1980 - Ovett 1984 - Cram 1992 - Morceli 2000 - El Guerrouj 2004 - Lagat 2012 - Kiprop 2016 - Kiprop 2020 - Cheruiyot
  • @16nowhereman
I"ve got my money on Jakob due to his consistency and history of winning.
  • @dpteejay3936
Yoo Andrew there's no audio from josh's interview
  • What a time to be an athletics fan! I can’t wait to see the matchup.
  • @b5yuwu672
I think Jakob will suprise us all in classic Jakob style
  • @AMMrawCR
"You might recognize a few of these names" I literally recognized every single one lmao
  • @faulypi
Jakob would have learned from his losses. He cannot outkick these guys but he can go the distance in a shorter time than they can. He needs to run from the front and go for it. It's up to them to catch him.
