Funny ending. I have my doubt about necessity of cooking potato for hour and a half, but as you said we can do whatever we want.

My soup cooks for 5 hrs. I always add 2/ 32 oz. of chicken broth with the veggies. I Do not like watery split pea soup. Everyone makes there soup differently. Mine always comes out delicious. Got my recipe from a dear friend.

I hope the vegetables I hope the carrots and potatoes are not over cooked. I will use your recipe, it looks so good.
