Usually when i make "normal" pancakes I feel hungry again after like two hours tops. Tried this recipe today, it's awesome! Not only do they taste way better than ordinary pancakes, I'm still full after like almost 3 hours!
  • I love Karla's style of cooking and her aura. It's so warm and inviting. I hope Bon Appétit continues to feature more of her in upcoming videos 😊💕

So I did a bit of guessing and trying out, and these amounts work for me: 1/2 cup flax seeds 1/4 cup coconut oil 2 cups buttermilk 1/2 - 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup plain flour 1/2 cup whole weat flour 1,5tsp baking powder 0,5 tsp baking soda 1 tbsp sugar pinch of salt 1/4 cup chia seeds 2 eggs Grind flax seeds melt coconut oil soften oats in buttermilk combine dry ingredients beat the eggs to blend and add wet to dry ingredients don't overmix grease the pan with coconut oil flip when bubbles form

All plastic avoiders got really excited by the bulk but ended up crying in a corner by Carla using plastic bags

I made these pancakes at 7 in the morning and I didn't get to eat lunch until 2:45 and I wasn't even hungry. What an awesome recipe. Thanks Carla!

  • These look awesome. I'm sure your son really enjoys them. I'm jealous of that griddle!

I’m still super into this at-home environment. So natural. So organic. Just like the ingredients in these pancakes.

Just made a vegan version with plant based milk, two bananas and chickpea flour (instead of eggs). 5 vegans approved :-)

I just made this, however I didn't have normal flour or whole meal flour left so just used buckwheat flour and also didn't have whole linseed, only had powdered LSA (linseed, sunflower, almond) mix at hand. And omg this is delicious, you really can't feel the oats or even the chia seeds once mixed and cooked. Just really really good and delicious, always love Carla's recipes!
