  • Sorry everyone! I just realized comments were accidentally turned off! Hello!!
  • @sweethaven5
Oliver is SO adorable ❤️💜 Zach is so handsome too💜❤️ Thanks for bringing yourself out there, grateful and appreciate you!
  • Hey Sarah! Your drawing was amazing! So, there is a tool in procreate located in the third left to right icon on the left. It is called "liquify." It is amazing for changing slightly the proportions without changing the painting. I think it would be a great addition to your digital art knowledge!
  • Your portrait absolutely captures his cuteness and sweet face. I went to school for graphic design but haven't worked a lot with portraits. I definitely am not skilled enough to do a whole portrait. I am still learning myself. Its alil discouraging when you're a perfectionist and want art to look like you see it in a photo or from your mind. You inspire me to know that not every work of art i create has to be perfect but wanting to learn and improve to get there is encouraging. I believe tracing and image is a good starting point and I really love how you kept going and made Oliver's portrait really reflect his personality with the color.

You can tell how meaningful this piece is to you. You took so much time to learn the techniques so you could understand the program and make something you could be proud of. Your 3 year old may not care about it much now, but years down the road I'm sure he will treasure the piece and the time that went into it. 💕

This video resonated with me a lot! it's so hard not to be critical and impatient with oneself, especially when you were a "gifted" kid. How you speak of your family was very moving too. My mother is blind, so she never saw me develop my artistic skills, and she can never see the portraits I've made of her, although I tried to describe them as much as I could...
  • You did great! I can't wait to see the final version. And YES, you should try real watercolor! I like the channels Paintcrush with Kristy Rice and Jenna Rainey. They are both especially good with florals, and how to make all the shapes you want with each kind of brush. Thanks for all your work!
  • @TemiDansoArt
Thank you for sharing a little bit about your family, it made this painting so special, and the final piece (so far) has turned out awesome! Also, I didn't know you could do a watercolour effect in Procreate - time to try watercolour in real life I think😅
  • OMGG!! I've been waiting for this video of you trying digital art for a long time! I started doing digital portraits at the beginning of this year and it's such an overwhelming experience but after learning more about digital and traditional painting, I started to get a hang on it. So just have fun and practice, practice and practice
  • @melaD333
I totally identify with stopping when things get challenging! Good job sticking with it and sharing your learning process with us. Oliver is adorable your painting of him is great!
  • this is soo relatable. thank you for taking us through the process. it shows that when you push through the hard parts you will eventually get to the good parts. you did a really great job!
  • @Pfoffie
This is an amazing piece. Congratulations on the progress!
  • @alixghandour
I'm so glad you tried this! I love digital, and using Procreate was so intuitive - i'm a huge fan. Your first attempt was super impressive and the portrait looks amazing.
  • @Cyadical
This is so fascinating to watch! As someone who’s mostly a digital artist, it’s so fun to see folks get into digital art, learning all the features and etc! 💕
  • As a complete novice to digital art as well, this is fantastic, not just the art itself but the fact that you're willing to give it a try. It's these kinds of videos that help me want to push the boat out more than I do, so thank you for that <3
  • I love your channel so much!!! I really love your message of how it’s good to be brave enough to make mistakes and experiment, and that being good at art takes patience and effort and is not magically gifted to anyone. Not just art, but any skill. Thank you for your amazing content!!!
  • Wow Sarah ! Your digital drawing turned out amazing. Beautiful both of your children !
  • I feel you with the learning things easily and so not pushing through when things are hard.
  • @Narra0002
You did great. I can’t wait to see the finished piece
