Fat biking SRAM vs Shimano who is the champ?

I have been using Shimano most of my biking history. During my MTB racing I normally used XTR or XT and it was always flawless.
I was sponsored by Gripshift at one point. Now known as SRAM. My point is I have a lot of trail time with both.
I don’t want to bail out noting both systems are great operating systems but they are. Again my review is based on the XT and Eagle GX level drivetrains.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use either drivetrain. As noted in video I do prefer the Shimano under over shifting. Both my 2022 and 2023 Trek Farley 9.6 use SRAM and I will admit it has taken me awhile to break the muscle memory of using the Shimano shifting.
Who won this battle? That is up to you personally. Each person will adapt to the system that fits them.

I ride now with Farley 9.6 2022 aswell, so nothing much to complain there. Tuned up the rotors and pads, chain. Saddle aswell. All other is pretty much by the manual. But my previous fattie had Shimano brakes, Deore derailleur, Sram cassette and KMC chain. To be fair- that combo worked damn well. Have heard it many times, that even pro riders like to mix the good Sram cassettes with smooth Shimano shifting. They really really made it pure fun to ride whatever the weather was🤘👍. Right now I stay loyal to all Sram system, but in spring, when anyways the bigger maint comes in, I really do consider some changes, depending if the products are available or how good is the price... But yeah, they both do have their strong sides over each other🤔

I’ll give a slight edge to Shimano XT for the reasons you mentioned & I feel it rarely needs tuning, love the trigger shifting, my 2021 Top Fuel 9.8 has it & it works flawlessly. My Stache 9 & Farley 9.6 are Sram & for the most part it’s fine & shifts well, my only complaint is that it occasionally needs some fine tuning. When I ordered my Fuel I had my choice of drivetrains & went with XT & love it, stay safe!

Had 2 Sram 1X drivetrains, NX and GX and they work well.. Cannot wait for new bike, Surly Icecream Truck with Shimano XLH 1X drive. excited to try

Sram AXS - nothing superfluous

Shimano XT on my full suspension & fat bike with no complaints. I am not a fan of Sram Components at all!
