City of Angels - Ace Attorney Animatic

GOSH, I was just thinking "I really need me some heartbreaking angsty Gavin brothers animatic" and this one showed up. Awesome!

You used this song to tell a story beautifully. I’ve always seen Kristoph as a bad person, but maybe not a bad brother or a bad boss. I think that if he genuinely cared for Klavier or at least if Klavier thought he did, their whole story hits so much harder and I can feel that in this animatic. You know he’s thinking “how could the very same brother that took me to band practice and celebrated with me when I passed the bar turn out to be this monster” AND IT SHOWS Also, that ending... beautiful. We don’t get much insight on their relationship after AA4, but I hope they both helped each other to deal with the aftermath.

This was so wonderfully done! And so heartbreakingly sad! 😭❤ It’s always wonderful to see more of characters that didn’t get their whole backstory fleshed out, and this song suits the two brothers’ relationship well. The compositions you came up with really suited the disconnect between the two characters. (I also think it’s really perfect how I think, correct me if I’m wrong, that the English translation of Ace Attorney does technically take place in Los Angeles!)

The last time I heard this song I thought of these two, and now there’s an amazing animatic of it! Awesome job!
