Ever wonder what it's like to live in a Castle?
We visited a 16th Century French Chateau to find out! Stephanie Jarvis traded in her London flat to restore her own fairytale castle in central france, and invited us have a taste of the Chateau life.

In this video we tour the property with her Stepfather Percy, and sit down with Stephanie to chat about the life of a Chatelaine.
We talk about how she found the Chateau, the history of the Castle, and what it's like to restore a historic home.

Stephanie and Chateau de Lalande appear on the hit British TV show Escape to the Chateau DIY.
You can also spend the night at the Castle, and rentals are available via airbnb and booking.com.

really like this video Step told her story with Lalangn
  • i enjoyed this immensely. i now realize how much i am behind regarding the grand hx of Lalande. i remember my first dive into the interior. what interested me, first of all, was the presenter and the Lady of the chateau, Ms. Jarvis. it was she---her smile, dress, exubérance, and natural ability to connect w/ her audience---that made me return to "the well!" i must admit, i have taken myself away too much through the over-saturation of the DYI chateau market these last several months, but i am quickly paring my way back to quality presentations which delve into a thorough review and "post-mortem" of all things past, and the things that are now and are to come---sorry, i didn't mean for this to sound like Dickens---but i sure do appreciate the work that has gone into the chateau this far. i always enjoy the beautiful and stunning wallpaper in the dining room. seeing it the first time, as presented by Ms. Jarvis, made an impression of élégance and beauty. a well-presented video. i'm looking for a book of the interior???

You should see the place now, and the chapel is glowing in it's current 'rehabilitation.'

Hi Stephanie Can you show your viewers the floor plans at lalande to give us an understanding of where all the rooms we see on your vlog are and which areas have not been developed yet? We so enjoy watching your vlog & hope to meet you once we buy our own chateau in France. Keep up the great work and we are happy to see the adds knowing that it helps to support your dream. Mila
