What would you want to see out of a new Star Wars Battlefront game?
  • @liamwilliams6651
Playing as a hero in Battlefront 2015 was never based on performance. It was whoever was lucky enough to stumble upon a hero pickup and that was the problem.
  • @Jaqueese
In EAs Battlefront 2, i absolutely recommend doing co-op to level up units and heroes if you are a brand new player or if you just want to get those maxed out star cards. Wednesdays also have triple xp so you can level up real fast. Great vid btw!
  • The original Battlefront 2 had 4 player splitscreen on Xbox. I think that is something worth noting.

If BF2 from Dice had cross play for consoles it would have never died. I played that game religiously from launch till it’s end (quite some time after it was free on PS+)

Very nice to see more appreciation for what Free Radical achieved back in 2008, hopefully one day we'll get a new Battlefront that finishes what they started

In battle front2 you can earn special weapons when doing certain things with special units. For instance with sniper, get enough headshots you get a stronger sniper rifle. Do this enough times, you can get it permanently.

Yeah Dice is well known for making visually breathtaking games but they focus so much on that so most other parts of the games suffer. If Dice would have tried to copy the old school 2004/2005 formula with their engine, sound design, and graphics the game would have been perfect. Also Dice could have just made an actual Battlefield game but with Star Wars aesthetics and the game would have been much better than what actually came out. The OG games are timeless and I’ll be spending hundreds of hours on the new classic collection. Those games were my childhood.

Props to you for finally being the person to acknowledge how good elite squadron on the DS was.

Fun fact there was and likely still is a bug in Battlefront Renegade Squadron where that point system didnt matter. You could equip whatever you wanted in the menu, close the app and as loong as you didnt go back into the menu you had everything you wanted

12:47 I'm so excited to get to try out the XL mode in the upcoming remasters. I've mostly played Battlefront 2 on console so it'll be awesome to experience it.

For the PSP games (Renegade and Elite), your biggest problem for the controls, according to your gameplay, was your absolute neglect of the right shoulder button (the same button used to strafe) for the active lock-on which will also auto-lock on for headshots after a couple of seconds not firing at your target and keeping your aim locked. I.e. you don’t disengage active target-locking, or the enemy rolls; which is something you can do as well in a pinch to disengage enemy lock-on with the circle button. This same principle applies to space battles; use the triangle button to follow enemy ships automatically and the D-pad down button to switch between targets. Right shoulder button to speed up. (In Elite Squadron this is changed to Left shoulder to speed, and right to auto-follow a selected ship target; D-Pad down is still to cycle targets). It’s a great bit of gameplay system making up for the PSP only having a single analog stick.
  • At 1:52 they are not called "Shock Troopers," they are called Dark Troopers, and they have lore on them that goes all the way back to Star Wars: Dark Forces, which is now getting a remaster.
  • @eshade701
Glad you added some stuff about battlefront 3

I love the old games but man 2015 holds the best place in my heart idc what anyone says, the absolute joy i felt seeing the reveal trailer, getting the darth vader ps4 and playing it like crazy. Some of the best gaming memories I've ever had.
  • 55:20 one of my favorite lvls from the campaign. it’s crazy how EA did Luke Skywalker so much more justice than Disney ever could
  • @JMKGalaxy2
Never forget that Pandemic names the shotgun trooper the SHOCK trooper then in the second game they changed the shotgun to a lightning casting SHOCK rifle and renamed the class to dark trooper KEK!

a fun backstory—my dad found a copy of the ds version of elite squadron out in the woods when i was around 6 years old. i fell in love with the story and remember it being so much more mature than my pokémon and mario games.

Star Wars battlefront (2004) main menu was my all time favorite . Clean simple , cool looking and a great sound track , and best loading screen of all time .
