Honestly I think you missed out on a golden opportunity 😂 Ursula’s hand placement was perfect to be holding a sliver tray w a mountain of cookies and a cookie in the other hand. Bc she ended up looking like the stereotypical sweet grandma that has the secret cookie recipe that everyone begs for during the holidays. Lol🤣

This Ursula definitely gives me "fun aunt/family friend" vibes. The one that the kids love to hang out with and hear stories from, but can still make them brush their teeth or clean up their dishes. The adults have fun talking with her, but some of her stories make them go "Ursula what did you do this week?"
  • She looks like a happy grandma cosplaying as Isabella to entertain her grandchildren! Love it!
  • Y'know what, in the movie Ursula turns people beautiful or into their desired self but at a huge cost, but perhaps uncorrupted Ursula makes people as beautiful as they are within, so she grants people with pure hearts but undesirable features to match with their inside self, like maybe making Quasimodo handsome because of his pure and innocent nature, and then cursing a narcissistic person to become a frog or snake. She could maybe even grant Beast (Beauty and the Beast) his original prince form after seeing him change his ways
  • As someone who's been fat all my life, imagining THIS as ursula's human form Vanessa in the movie is bringing a tear to my eye! You made her so beautiful without changing her size ;-;

Ursula looks like she is in the middle of her best happy song she looks amazing!!! And I really love the idea of uncorrupting villains, hope to see it again!!
  • Ursula looks like Mrs Potts from Beauty and The Beast when she was turned back into a human. This is awesome, I really do like your work, would love to see more videos like this. I don't care for coloring pages that have a lot of fine details, I like a simple adult coloring page or children's coloring pages.
  • I own a few adult colouring books, including some Disney princess ones and a nightmare before Christmas one. Definitely not a fan of the excessive patterns and ‘negative’ images (black backgrounds). I notice that Disney is the only one that seems to do this, especially the black! None of my ‘luxury’ colouring books are like that. I have no idea why they’d think it was a good idea! You can’t ‘colour in’ black 😬

I'm totally with you on not liking intricate patterns, especially tacky intricate patterns! I much prefer something simpler 😊
  • 100% agree about the patterns! I was so excited about the villain book, but it was so disappointing to open it up and find those images. I wish there was one with just basic line work. That said, have you ever tried something like Mr. Super Clear on coloring pages? A lot of doll artists use it to help their pencils, pastels, and paints stick and to let them build up more layers. It might be an option for this. It would also be really cool if you did a video where you compared different products to see what gave the best results when it comes to prepping pages for coloring.

I enjoy intricate, detailed coloring books, but sometimes it's nice to just have something simple, and that's definitely the case with this kind of coloring challenge.
  • @lampekartoffel
I really love patterns like, when the outline/full picture is an animal, but when you zoom in/focus on the details the animal is made out of plants! These "I'm playing around with Paint for the first time and discovered pre-made patterns that I can fill in the gaps with" thing? Not so much. It makes it look more like a children's activity colouring book than an adult colouring book.
  • @tangerine33
Love the result! She turned out like a sweet granny from the countryside, who owns a flower field.
  • I've been disappointed in the last Disney adult colouring books I got for exactly the same reasons. This was a fabulous idea and the execution was incredible. I'm definitely going to try the transparent gesso on my colouring books!
  • @jmcdowall15
I bought a few Disney colouring books to find those annoying patterns all over them. It was so disappointing. I love the idea of uncorrupting. Your Ursala was definitely uncorrupted 👏🏻 Maybe you could buy a horror colouring book and try uncorrupting one of those. You could also have a collab with Jordan Persegati, he has to uncorrupt and you have to corrupt.
  • @nightfan1983
Watching this, I can't help but wonder what other (Disney) villains would look like uncorrupted, like Hades, Jafar, Mallificent 🤔 I hope you start a trend, because this is fun 🖤
  • Ursula went from shark loaning a mermaid to being a great aunt lawyer who finds loopholes and workarounds 🤩 Her design makes her seem like the conflict between her and Ariel would be some too-unattainable rule-bending that even Ursula can't negotiate, or a very honest misunderstanding that turns into a kind of lesson for Ariel to really work on her communication?
  • Honestly she looks like an older version of Anastasia when she married the baker. And I love it
  • There needs to be an AU where Ursula, while disguised as Vanessa, actually started falling for someone like Grimbsly. Kinda like how Anastasia changed when she fell in love with the baker in "Cinderella III". So, Ursula eventually understood Ariel's mindset and decided chasing her own love would be better than being bitter about the triton and ruling the sea. This would totally be her legitimate humam-form after they were married. She'd probably even act as a grandmotherly figure to Melody. That'd be adorable, lol.
