Petty University apparel is here! : bit.ly/PettyUniversity | EDIT: Sadly, youtube just demonetized my doc which INSTANTLY dropped it from being recommended which has crushed viewership. It’s so terribly frustrating to be censored on extremely important topics and trying to advocate for trauma survivors. Thank you to everyone who has shared this doc. I hope it helps not only clarify the situation, but helps someone coping with a hard time. —- Who do you think is responsible? This one was a rollercoaster between heartbreak and wanting to punch Travis in the balls... metaphorically of course ;) Huge thank you to Cerebral here bit.ly/3pazjdI to connect you with a provider that will help determine the right treatment plan for you starting at only $30 for your first month. I will be donating proceeds to the victim's GoFundMe. What topic do you want my next doc on? Comment below! Love you all!
  • 14:50 I love the clip of Chester saying "when someone falls, what do we do?" and the crowd yells "pick them up." We really lost such an amazing and beautiful human. RIP.
  • As a female metalhead, I've been in a few mosh pits and I noted very early on in my teen years that there is definitely a sense of community and care when it comes to pits. People will help you up, carry you or move you back so you are safe. I lost a shoe in a pit once and every single person stopped to help me find it, I was probably 16 then. The clip of Mike and Chester encouraging fans to help each other, makes me really happy, RIP CHESTER <3
  • In my opinion, Travis Scott is 100% responsable for this tragedy. I have never been to a show where the artist didn’t immediately stop the show if there was an issue. Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, LP, Eminem, Niteclub, Priest, LOA all stopped immediately if there was anything wrong. They only started the show again when it was cleared and safe.
  • @nadiajones6215
I’m an operations manager for a venue and I take this very personal. I’ve seen pass outs, seizures, mosh pit accidents and almost every time the artist stops or says something. I really hate when artists try to paint security and venue staff as authorities or police that wanna stop their fun. No, security is literally there because they love music and want people to be safe while enjoying what they all love. At least the venue I work at. Not to mention the countless security meetings we have with tour managers to discuss safety and plans. Also this wasn’t just a random show on his tour. This was a HUGE EVENT that he put on, he encouraged people to break in. Ugh I just get so mad when I see this.
  • @madlymads563
As a person who goes to raves, I have seen many mosh pits. The most recent event I was at the mosh pit formed right in front of me and as a girl I was scared but people I didn’t even know were blocking me and creating a barrier so that I wouldn’t get hurt. That’s how it’s supposed to be. At a show it’s like a community everyone is there for the same reason and so you should respect and look out for each other just enjoy the show.

I don't understand how anybody can defend Travis or his team. There is video evidence that people can see, with their own eyes, yet so many people claim that "Travis was unable to see past the stage lights!", "Travis didn't hear anybody yelling for him to stop!","He had no idea!" and it's sickening. People are so deep into their fandom of these artists that there's this weird cognitive dissonance and they can't view their idealized version of the artist as being the same person that would do such horrific things, and it just lets them keep doing whatever they want, regardless of consequences. We've seen it with countless celebrities, large and small.
  • @Amtoro
I am really disappointed with Youtube for demonetizing this documentary and thus hiding it from being recommended. This is wonderfully done; before I watched this video my knowledge on the circumstances were non-existent. I had heard of the tragedy but I did not realize just how many mistakes were made that should have been obvious to anyone with experience with crowds and concert style events. Damn shame.
  • @turnoffthetv
I've been to hundreds of shows, in many pits of many sizes. No one, NO ONE should die in a show. No one. Thank you for a well researched and compassionate look at this tragedy.
  • @Emily-ck9ji
As someone who has gone to plenty of concerts where mosh pits have "erupted", the artists have ALWAYS taken care of audience members. And we always took care of those around us. Someone passes out? People are there to pick you up and get you to safety. Travis Scott has been gambling with the lives of his fans for years and it's finally bit him in the ass.
  • @Moonlit-Pagan
The fact that Travis had someone with a broken neck crowd surfed to the stage just to give the kid a ring is horrifying to me. That kid is paralyzed because of Travis. Its horrific.
  • @morganelise6291
This whole situation makes me sick. What a horrible human being. Screw the people who dare defend him for this. This should not have happened. All those people deserve justice
  • @kaseygoss
I’ve been to Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, Family Values, etc… and at EVERY show the #1 rule was to keep everyone safe & if anyone falls you pick them up immediately. The artists would absolutely stop if shit got to out of control, no calls needed because they CARED about their fans. This whole situation is beyond negligent & tragic. I truly believe he could have & should have stopped the damn show. When you stop a show over a f-ing shoe but not a goddamned ambulance driving through the crowd… that tells me all I need to know about this guy. Prayers for all those who lost their lives, their families & friends, for all those injured & everyone in attendance that is permanently traumatized.💔
  • @annieg202
Everyone that booed and shouted at Ayden Cruz better give him both a personal and public apology. He was a hero trying to save everyone's lives
  • @nikkiq2494
My biggest thing that blames him is the clip where people are chanting “stop the show” and he says “whose telling me to stop? We ain’t gonna stop” or whatever. Like bro, this is YOUR festival that’s sold out. The crowd is full of YOUR fans. They aren’t chanting that because they’re haters. Something is OBVIOUSLY wrong. But he didn’t care
  • Genuinely cried throughout this doc. I fell down the rabbit hole of researching this event and similar situations as soon as the news broke. I had never looked into Travis Scott before as an artist, the only song I knew from him was Sicko mode because some friends liked it as a meme song. But other than that, I did not know his brand, his vibe, nothing. After about 2 minutes of looking up his history, I cannot believe they allow for him to preform. His mentality and lack of care for his fans during his live events are astounding. Threatening the lives of security, encouraging fans to endanger themselves, calling on people to beat up a fan because he took a shoe? Literally a fan fell off the balcony and Travis had him dragged on stage with no neck support or anything?! That fan is now paralyzed and his injuries could have been made way worse because Travis wanted to give him a ring?!? I feel that a common question thread surrounding this event is “Who is responsible? Travis, the event planner, the security, the venue?” The simple answer is yes. All of them are responsible for what happened in one way or another. The lack of control from security, the barrier design being a death trap, even the fans who were blocking and dancing on ambulances trying to reach victims. Many point to Travis and say he couldn’t have known what was going on. I don’t think you brought this up but there is a now deleted tweet from when the concert sold out he said “Naw and we still sneaking the wild ones in !!!” He encourages his fans to break the rules, jump the barriers, rush the stage. This behavior is not new for Travis, this tragedy was inevitable with how he treats his fans at live shows. When you don’t care about safety, human lives are at risk. It crushes my spirit to think that 10 people went to a concert and died. Not from a shooting or anything else that you could sadly expect from a live event like you hear on the news, but from being crushed to death. Accounts of people report them being so squished, there feet were no longer on the ground, they were pinned between people. People talking about how they thought the barrier would be a safe place but instead found themselves being crushed against it, bruises coating their ribs. The fact that Travis told people to raise their arms which is the worst thing to do is terrifying. I know this event will never leave the minds of those affected by it, and for their sake I pray this event never leaves Travis’ name. This cannot be an event that gets washed away and forgotten. Given the google auto fill for Astroworld is already “astroworld tracklist, astroworld hoodie, astroworld merch” does not inspire hope. I personally think Travis should be held legally responsible for this and shouldn’t be allowed to perform live again. This man and his team are responsible for the lives of 10 people and the trauma that thousands more have to carry with them everyday. Thank you for this well put together doc Swoop, as always.
  • @spar5722
Travis Scott should’ve been charged. He should’ve paid for funeral costs and so much more. The people DANCING ON THE AMBULANCE should be charged for causing time being taken away from the lives who needed medical attention. The people booing the man trying to help everyone in the crowd and his friend should be ashamed of themselves for their mindset during such a terrible thing
  • @zaki_snow
Im not usually an emotional person but hearing people screaming for help and everything else has me literally bawling my eyes out, this is so heartbreaking. I have no idea how people can defend travis seeing all this footage and evidence that he KNEW something was wrong and still didn't do anything.
  • @Travelbyailsa
The fact that the guy who was paralysed could potentially have not been paralysed if Travis just hadn’t told them to pick him the fuck up is horrific. Like maybe he had broken his back or neck before that point but it is more than likely the movement afterwards that actually damaged his spinal chord
  • @Vi_Vi_1
Aiden is a wonderful person and I hope he's able to mentally and emotionally recover from the trauma this had to have caused. He did what he could in a disastrous situation and kept his cool, that's a damn hero
