The 2010s is without a doubt the worst era for Nickelodeon, especially when compared to the 90s and 2000s. Today I go over what made the decade so bad, and why it kept getting worse.

Enjoy!

Man, the algorithm really took off on this one. Good thing it did; You deserve it man! Was very well put together, and eloquently stated. Plus, you admitted to when you didn't have knowledge on a subject, And reserved judgment because so. Too many other creators don't do so, so thank you For putting in the effort

maturing is realizing how fucking brainrotted the 2010s was. yet kid me still managed to enjoy it.

I felt genuinely insulted by Breadwinners and Sonjay & Craig when I was a 10-11 year old.

Sanjay and Craig felt like a more kiddie and hyperactive version of Regular Show. No doubt they got some inspiration from there

"I'm almost at 1k subscribers" -sees 10k subs -"Oh is this video old?" -5 days ago The algorithm blessed this man and I'm happy it did because DAMN this is just such a good, concise video

The way I immediately word for word sung along the breadwinners opening without any sound makes me think I might’ve had a problem as a kid 😭

Whenever you have a bad day, just remember that Sanjay and Craig aired an episode in which Sanjay was pregnant with a fart
  • So, let me get this straight 1990s: Comedy Age of Nicktoons 2000s: Action Age of Nicktoons 2010s: Buddy Comedy Age of Nicktoons 2020s: Reboot Age of Nicktoons
  • Nickelodeon was hypocritical for forcing CH Greenblatt to apologize for making a rant on them because of their mistreatment towards Harvey Beaks and not telling him that the show was cancelled and moved to Nicktoons. Greenblatt even warned a couple of creators to avoid pitching their shows to Nickelodeon no matter what.

Fun Fact: Ironically, Nickelodeon used to be an extremely, overly-safe channel from 1979-1985. Shows like Looney Tunes, and other superhero shows were considered "too dangerous" for kids. Then Ren and Stimpy came.

Sanjay and Craig’s the type of show you watch because cartoon networks switched to adult swim and you don’t wanna go to sleep yet

2010s I was in highschool and was wondering if it was just me getting older or if media was getting extremely hideous and stale, I guess in a certain light I'm relieved it wasn't just me

That era where Nickelodeon tried to be Cartoon Network, but failed miserably
  • I can’t believe NOBODY is talking about the Penguins of Madagascar show. That show was so nostalgic! I had both the Leap Frog and the Gameboy Advanced games. I’m still waiting patiently for Madagascar 4. Gloria changed my brain chemistry as a teenager and I can’t ever get those years back.
  • Fun Fact: Adventure time was supposed to be picked up by Nickelodeon but unfortunately they turned it down TWICE and pick fanboy and chum chum instead🤦🏾‍♂️, This is definitely when most people switched to Cartoon Network where the renaissance era took place after 2009. Also I agree that Nick treated not just El Tigre but Making Fiends horribly😞
  • Feels like everyone disagrees where the fall of spongebob begins. Too me, it's when they overused the exaggerated face joke. It used to be a pynchlune to a joke, but now any character will just make a face with no rhyme or reason, and it was just off-putting.
