A few years ago I had $20 left and I needed fuel for my car so on the off chance I bought a $5 scratcher and put the rest in my tank. I won $100 and went back into the gas station to collect. It wasn’t much but it made my day.

My five year old daughter told me to buy a one dollar scratcher. She said “you can pay rent if you buy that one mom”. I thought it seemed weird but she has said weird shit before and been right. (She told me I “you know you have my baby brother in your tummy” and I found out the next day I was pregnant. It was a boy lol) I thought what the hell, it’s a buck. I bought it and won $1000. She doesnt do that stuff anymore now that she is older but claims she is psychic now lol.

I played a $10 ticket, and lost $10.

I visited my mother in Florida years ago. At the time, the state I was living in didn’t have scratch offs. So the first time my mom and I stopped in a market, I bought five $1 scratchers. I went to her car, scratched, and won $10. I went back in and bought two $5s. My mom got upset, she thought I should have just taken the money. Long story short, I kept winning and buying more tickets. I must have gone in and out about fifteen times. We were there for almost an hour. Ended up winning over $300 on an initial $5 investment.

My car needed an alignment badly. It shredded my tires that were a month old , was gonna cost me 300 just to get tires and alignment. Working as a delivery driver I made nothing . I was 18, played a couple 2$ tickets won 40$. Parlayed it into two 20$ tickets, won 20$ back first ticket, then a 10k winner on the 2nd ticket. Matched the number 7 for straight up 10,000$ underneath it (7500) after taxes. Ticket #22.

Years ago, in MA, my friend won $1M on a $5 scratcher. I used to tell him he was crazy to piss his money away on tickets. He still laughs at me!
