I Flew on Air Canada's PRIVATE A320!

2023-04-23に共有
In addition to their regular flights, Air Canada operates one Airbus A319 and a few A320s for charters, which have only Business Class seats on board!

These are the planes that fly NHL teams around North America, and they’re usually pretty busy during hockey season. However, sometimes they do need to reposition planes around the country for specific teams’ needs, and sometimes, that means putting them on a revenue flight for a few lucky passengers!

I heard about one of those very flights earlier this month, and it was certainly a memorable one!

FINs 226, 225, and 232 were converted to JETZ confit in Winston-Salem North Carolina at the end of last year. FIN 232 was still in the old blue color scheme but is due to get repainted into a special JETZ color scheme this spring. FIN 226 has 66 seats and 225, 232 each have 70 seats.
  • You don't post flight reviews all that often, but when you do, I know it'll be a BANGER. Be it a gravel runway, a Condor 767 to Whitehorse, or this plane right here I didn't even know existed. LOVE IT. Pump this content directly into my veins please.
  • At 9:52 we can hear the AUTO-PILOT OFF alarm from the cockpit, meaning the aircraft went on a CAT2 approach, which is normal considering the low visibility :)
  • @CANFlight
Such a cool flight! Glad you took take advantage of that. Loved hearing the autopilot disconnect at 9:51!
  • @ogjk
Love that lumber mill saw noise on these old Airbus CFM56s on takeoff.
  • @colestock9980
9:53 either the pilots left their door open, or the autopilot disengage tone is EXTREMELY loud on that plane 🤣
  • @mattscarf
Autopilot disconnect chimes at 9:53? I’ve heard it sitting that close to the front as well
  • I expect AC uses some of their oldest aircraft on the sports charter operation since those aircraft fly far fewer hours than the regular fleet, often parked for long periods between flights. Helps keep them flying without major maintenance. They don't want the expense of a major overhaul on a 31-year-old aircraft. Delta does the same on their very similar sports charter operation, using some of their oldest 757s.
  • I have the privilege of being a frequent flyer on this aircraft, and it's neat to see someone else get the experience. The updates they made certainly modernized the look of the interior. Interestingly enough, they just added options for in-flight entertainment at the end of the season; once you connect to ACWifi you can stream VOD movies and TV shows on a Phone/Tablet/Laptop.
  • Such a cool flight to be on! At 9:51 you can hear the autopilot disconnect chime :), it's a very assertive sound that goes through the door.
  • Man you gotta love the engine sounds from those older A320s
  • That a nice touch from the flight crew explaining why this aircraft is being used.
  • Due to volcanic ash my flight to Vancouver had to land early in Calgary for a night and I admit it was kind of cool to see it in person for the first time after seeing it so often in your videos! Thank you for your reviews -- I've been making my way through most of your videos and your enjoyment is really playing a part in helping me get over my flight anxiety.
  • How long were these planes flying for Jetz? I mean new interior for a 31 year old plane must mean the flightcycles must be low. So they will be the oldest A320 flying soon.
  • ALEX!! First time viewer!! I just subscribed!! I always wondered what the AC JETZ logo meant when I was sitting in the first class lounge @ YYZ!! I really miss flying and enjoyed your channel today. I have to tell you that I had the "distinct pleasure" as a employee of SHELL GLOBAL to fly back and forth to Dubai from YYZ for 5 amazing years, first class, on EMIRATES A-380!! Truly an amazing adventure!! It was a "TOTAL" revelation of how "the other half travels"!! The people, the lounges, the staff, the food and the wonderful EMIRATES staff who were incredible and understood what "first class" meant and they had it down pat!! I retired 5 years ago and have not flown since!! This video whet my appetite to pursue a new adventure this summer!! I will continue to watch your video's and thanks for your efforts!! Greetings from Canada !! GIDDYUP!!
