Imagine being the only Thanos that loses out of 14 million

I still love that finger Dr. Strange held up for Tony to remind him that this is the one future he saw with them winning.
  • @Edevaine
I absolutely love that Steve looked around all happy thinking "we've done it, we've won" and then he looks at Tony's direction and his expression changes instantaneously. the second look at Steve's face was more of a sad but accepting reaction, "I was wrong, he was the guy who'd make the sacrifice play"

One touch I always like is how Thanos didn't curse the heroes. He just sat down and quietly accepted defeat.

“Don’t waste your life stark”. He didn’t.

Rocket was really ready to take on that Leviathan all by himself. What a legend.

All these gods, super heroes with supernatural powers and finally an ordinary man saves the world. A man who built his super powers himself. Respect

Revisiting this, it's just occured to me. The nanomachines respond to Tony's mind to create the shapes he wants, but he still probably had to blueprint all the shapes his suit could take. If that's the case, it means he put the gauntlet schematics into his suit knowing that there was a possibility he'd have to use the stones. Not only was he the one to make the sacrafice play, there's a decent chance he went into this EXPECTING to make the sacrafice play.

I love how Thanos doesn't try one last final attack. Instead, he just sits and awaits his fate

Thanos takes his loss like a man. Just sits down and accepts the disappointment. No final screams or insults.

One of the greatest quotes of all time ,,I am Iron man" Thank you Robert Downey Jr
  • @proa007
It's amazing they didn't come up with the "I am Iron Man" line until they were nearly done with post-production. So perfect and such a great capstone to a character arc. Credits to the creative team for realizing this was the right way to finish the storyline.
  • When Thanos won, he stood, looked toward the sun, and smiled. When Thanos lost, he sat, his back to the sun, and accepted.

If Tony had drawn out his dramatic last words for just another second... Rocket would have been eaten.
  • In Endgame, we learned: 1. Everything special about Cap didn't come from a bottle 2. Tony is the guy who would lay on the wire and sacrifice himself for others
  • Who’s here after his Oscar win? You won Mr. Stark. You won it all. We love you 3000!!!
  • @ayubsamuel100
Tony Stark at end of first film: I am Iron Man Tony Stark at end of last film : I am Iron Man.
  • You can see it in his eyes that he didn’t want to but with great power comes great responsibility.
  • @sragvistark
Even though this movie released more than four years ago, this scene is so touching and emotional that it still brings tears to my eyes... We all love you 3000 Ironman

This is exactly what makes Thanos not only a great villain, but an honorable one at that: accepting defeat and death with dignity instead of with regret. RIP Thanos. You've been a great warrior.
