Wonderful to see how a painting can inspire artists to make the most beautiful things.
  • To paint classical architecture with such details and amazing precision requires a very rare technical skill which the great Canaletto possessed in abundance!! From his great landscape paintings to his masterpieces of beautiful Venice, his reproduction of great architecture with such meticulous detail - every single of his artistic journey and creation has encompassed such a vast territory of creative insight and knowledge that it generates awe and reverence!! The Gardens created through inspiration by Canaletto's paintings and those jewellery pieces also deserve the highest applause and appreciation for their sheer beauty and magnificence!!😍😍❤❤
  • I want to work on the videos for my channel, but when I receive the notification of one of your videos, I just can't resist and have to watch it right away. Otherwise, if I keep working, my head is not present because I am thinking about your video. This is again such a wonderful conversation and enlightening discussion on Canaletto and his painting, and the wonderful information these ladies provide us. The National Gallery is just an amazing art world; I get lost there every time I visit London. Thank you for always providing us with such rich information about art.

I adore Canaletto's paintings or as I cheekily call them Where's Wally... it's all the figures, all busily doing something. Seeing his work up close for the first time a few years ago I decided, although he's known for including it, he is actually terrible at painting water but absolutely brilliant at portraying crowds of people. What an observant eye he must have had. Aw, love it ♥️
