This Anniversary Edition 1978 Corvette was abandoned for what I'm told is around 20 years. It looks like someone once did a full build on it which appears to be around the last 90s. I'm going to try get this running and back on the road and attempt to drive 750 miles home.

Who else has developed the vice grip garage language in their everyday life

Derek, I’m sitting here in the hospital with my little girl and my wife after a long difficult week of you name it sicknesses. Your video brought the first smile to her face all day! Thank you for all your hard work and the time you spend away from your boys to bring us joy every week.
  • I have spent more time watching this guy than crap TV the last two months. Enjoyable and sometimes educational.
  • @AdamCanFly
So much tenacity! 97.86593% of people would have given up on the first day! Glad to see you made it!
  • @weshoward1984
I'd rather watch this than most of the reality tv and other junk on cable anymore... keep em coming Derek, appreciate ya! 🍻🇺🇸

This guy is actual legit cool. Hard to find nowadays. I find it interesting that he doesn't go around trying to flex on people and get attention. He saw an engine fire, ran over, put it out and left the fire extinguisher, never mentioning it again. I'll continue watching for sure. Good content.

This is the guy you want to roll up when you’re stuck on the side of the road.

Been driving my dad's 73 Riv that's been sitting in the open for the last decade. It's going great! My absolute favorite car🧡

My late father lost his pilot’s license due to Multiple Sclerosis. He spent his airplane money restoring a 25th anniversary Stingray. It was his pride and joy for two decades. Looked like the day it rolled off the showroom floor when he finished it. Countless car shows where he’d sit under a shade tree, sip ice tea and swap stories with other enthusiasts. I’m laughing because I think he fought every issue you fought on this one! 😂 Thanks for the great video and memories Derek 😎
  • Yes, I'm 61 years young, drank out of plenty of hoses. We were lucky enough to have the best public water in Pennsylvania. Beaver Run Reservoir. We also were exposed to more radiation than most in my hometown of Apollo, P A. A lot of people died of cancer. I am too stubborn to get it. Irish heritage! Eddie

My son was playing hot wheels with me earlier today (he’s 3) and tells me: “dad can you tow me, one of my sparkalators fell out”. He loves watching your videos with me and we both appreciate your content Derek!

  • I'm not sure why this came up in my video feed, but I'm so happy it did. Dude is hilarious and he knows his stuff. Incredibly wholesome. Just a good time.

Two hours of VGG and a Vette?! Oh heck yes!!!!!! Probably going to have to break this up (got more work to do) but going to relax some now with this. Thank you for all you do for us ~ Chuck.
  • Whenever I see a 2 hour revival, I know it's going to peg the struggle meter. Derek, your ability to hang with it is impressive. The look on your face when you left that last gas stop said it all. To top it off, you when lent a hand when someone, somehow was having worse car problems than yours. Truly a generous man. Thank you!
  • @TalkieToaster.
2 hours of VGG is exactly what I needed today! Just in time for beer and pizza.
  • New to the channel and I'm pissed off I haven't found this gem sooner! This guy is awesome from his own sort of language he speaks from his overall love for cars. Definitely one of my favorite channels
