Here’s an idea that’s just as dumb. Let’s just give every state one vote. You win 26 states, you win the presidency. We’re already a nation divided between urban and rural citizens. Either one of these proposals would make that worse and likely push us toward a civil war. Let’s do the smart thing and leave the existing state versus population compromise in place.
