I just saw a release where they spoke on the game and yes they did confirm the split screen wasn't intended due to the environment simulations that they wanted the player to get a feel of, but on seeing the demand they chose to include it in the time chamber as that won't have the environmental changes to deal with

FighterZ getting another update by ArcSys themselves and xenoverse 2 also confirmed to have more DLC coming in the future. And then Sparking?! The story creator was what we all wanted as kids, setting up our own what if battles. I remember dashing around, hoping the CPU would transform, but now we actually have a way to set it up.
