I love cooks like you who are not pedantic about how things "should be done," but show us the basics and share the possibilities for making great food with what we have on hand.

I appreciate the lack of music.

My wife's disappointed that my fried rice is as good as hers using this recipe! I no longer have to wait to make her version. This one's so simple and delicious. Thank you.

Not only are you practical in what ingredients to you….you encourage the cook to use what they have… love that,❤️

I really like how you didn't hog the video with yourself, you have a recipe and you explain how to make it. Some creators think we are here to see them, this is YouTube and content is king. You did a great job!

Hands down the best fried rice recipe I've ever had! The water to rice ratio is PERFECT! To be honest you taught me how to make the perfect rice! Much appreciated!

I love this “emergency” fried rice , it reminds me of the way my father cooks. He is 100 years old and nothing in his kitchen goes to waste. He makes a “concoction” fried rice much like this but he always finds room for diced potatoes and a few Indian spices too. Thank you for your wonderful easy recipes! They are delicious and feed the soul!

As someone who had a lot of trouble to find the exact steps instead of assuming you know the basics, this video is incredibly helpful. thank you!

By far this is the best fried rice I’ve ever had. I will keep this recipe. And was amazed on how great it was. I didn’t have carrots but I had everything else and used sandwich meat sliced it in squares. And it was amazing! Thank you! 💜
  • @tarek7866
Did it with that i found in the fridge: ham, bellpepper, onions and mushroom. It turned out to be really nice! Thank you so much! Perfect for a 22 pm snack 😊

I made this last night and used this recipe. I didn’t have any dark soy sauce but it didn’t seem to matter, the rice did turn out great, well seasoned, flavorful and was all gone. No leftovers! Thanks for the great recipe

Bacon: " but who cares, I like it!" Nice job young lady! Looks great!
  • Yes, Very detailed and I love how you showed all the ingredients and taking your time explaining. Others are rushing in explaining. I can't wait to make this week

I just made this tonight and it was the best homemade fried rice I have ever made! Your tips to make same day rice were perfect! Instead of using bacon I had some left over pork tenderloin that I cubed up and added, and it was perfect!! It was way better than my local Chinese take out, and took less than 10 minutes to make after I gathered all the ingredients. Thanks so much!

I first tried fried rice after arriving in Thailand decades ago while in the Air Force and one guy at the hotel I was staying at talked me into trying some of what he had. After trying a tablespoon of his I was hooked and ordered a bowl of it myself and have been eating it since then. Upon returning home years later I purchased a wok and began cooking it myself and loved it. The plate of fried rice you cooked look great and I have to try cooking it with bacon and see how it tastes.
  • I do this at least a couple of times a month. Who doesn’t like bacon, eggs and vegetables with rice? Very tasty
  • @TheAmander90
Made this recipe today but without the bacon. I also added some MSG, white pepper, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Was by far my favorite fried rice I’ve made so far! 😋
