Kattar’s corner: “He’s getting pretty tired hitting you” Max: Hold my beer

Max Legitimately took years off of this mans career and life
  • I love how Max straight up tells Dana you paying us extra for that one😅

This is officially Max's second best performance after UFC 300

Who else here to pay respect to Holloway after Kattars fight last night
  • @documax123
Calvin is top, top, level. For Max to put on such a performance over Calvin Kattar shows how remarkable this was - and Max is.
  • This fight made katter a monster, he took this beating like a god. Hell of a fight, absolutely impressive.

Just here to tell the historians it took a while for him to fight again but he bounced back and it was epic
  • Kattar saying “you gotta kill me to get me outta there” is so legendary, one of the best fights

One of the best performances we've seen inside the octagon no doubt about it. Side note, Dan hardy should commentate way more for the UFC, very articulate and knows what he's talking about
  • How am I just watching this for the first time?? Bro, Max is fighting at a level that very few have ever seen.. This has to be one of the greatest performances in the history of UFC

Hats of to Calvin, even though he took a beating he didn't back down the hole fight. Well done to both

"Sometimes, you're just in the zone" DC's only way to explain this fight.
  • @documax123
DC captures it - what we watched there in that contest, and performance. An athlete that was totally in the zone.

23:30 this prologned sequence along the fence feels identical to my worst nightmares. Trapped, tortured, all of my efforts to escape or fight back do nothing. What can he do? Where can he go? He's powerless. All of his strength. All of his fury. He's throwing everything he has into those hooks and overhands. And hitting air. And the whole time, Max is *right there*. Just an inch out of range. And he only steps away for just as long as it takes Katter to throw his one or two punches. And then immediately back in before his hands are even back to his face. As if he can do anything to protect himself. Like wearing a bulletproof vest in a minefield. And just nonstop onslought on all sides from every angle. It looks like a horrifying experience. Like that scene in Finding Nemo where they're caught in the school of jellyfish and are getting zapped nonstop, unable to escape.

Had to rewatch this after that beating Kattar put on Giga tonight. It seems he added some of these elbows to his arsenal.
