Restoring the AC spark plug cleaner destroyed its antique value. Something like that is worth far more to me in it's original condition and patina..

My understanding about collectibles, vintage items is that you're NOT supposed to restore them; you're supposed to leave them in survivor condition. It actually lowers the value if you restore it.

The Art of Animation book is well over $10,000. Im glad that guy didn't accept the lowball offer. Thats history right there. Especially being Disney memorabilia.
