My old Wii is long gone, but I remember turning it on one day and going to the message board to find messages from both my parents. I forget the exact details, but they were nice messages for me. It was nice to go there after doing something in Wii Sports and seeing both my parents left notes for me

Amusingly enough, the feature Iwata originally intended as a light parental control backfired in my house. Because I'm a stickler for notification lights, I would always check the playtime just to get rid of it. You can imagine 4th grade me's confusion when I started finding this weird game I didn't even own on there. Well, it turns out my dad had bought Metroid Prime 3 for himself, and had been playing it after I went to bed. He didn't want to show me because he thought I might be too young based on the rating, but he was forced to let me watch after I figured it out. The feature that was meant to bust the child busted the parent instead!

The Nintendo Wii is still my favourite console. The Interface, The Music, The Channels, The Motion Controls. Combine that with the Switch and Next Gen graphics, we would have my favorite console of all time.

I like how everything that Nintendo “didn’t see as a game” was combined and put into one great game: Tomodachii Life.

I love the fact how even in the near 2020's, I still see families with Wiis

I loved playing my old wii. I was around 1 when the wii was released, so i grew up with it. Even after we got a XboxOneS, a Nintendo Switch, ect, we still used the wii the most. Those nice nights when me, my older sister and older brother would just play mariokart or Wii Sports Resorts.

6:24 I remember having my Wii filled up with games like these, I didn’t ACTUALLY buy them of course... I just downloaded them onto my wii with a WAD manager... Good times of having 20 homebrew channels in different colors and, lets not forget on how everyone had the “Dark Wii” theme installed via mymenuify... The Early 2010s / Late 2000s was a good time...
