If you’re fishing rockfish, the descender has to be set up on a rod. It can’t be in your tacklebox.

Adam- You're The Slayer of Giants!! Super nice catches. That "little, but stout", super light, short butt and handy jigging rod looked like the ideal set-up for kayak jigging giants. ISH?? I had a couple of my brother in law’s and friends brake a few trolling rods while we were salmon fishing at different times! Usually they had a bad habit of tightening the drag because the fish was taking line and it wasn’t coming in easy! I had to explain that is what the drag is for so they get tired out before we net them!!! 4 rods in 12 years of fishing, not too bad.

I really like the drop metal jigging because you never know what's going to bite it. Really want you to get a tuna or big yellow tail on the yak. May take some seriously hard fishing but if anyone can do it, you can.❤
