Never heard of Janna Levin before but now the lid is off the box , i want more ! Starting with her Richard Dawkins conversation ; another sleepless night ahead - grins quietly

I came for physics, but stayed for philosophy. What an excellent talk.

Although Brian didn’t tie them together, I think he was very consistent that mythical story telling and music and art all provided an evolutionary advantage because they allow us to think beyond the the immediate needs of food, shelter, and security. I would consider all of them a form of story telling, the artist, musician, or story teller trying to convey their thoughts to others.

I could listen to Brian Greene for hours. His intelligence, ability to articulate complex ideas, and his general humility are extremely compelling.

This lady’s brain is so smart that only Brian Greene can really say things that she agrees with in simple terms; she a living textbook.

Brian Greene: Astoundingly brilliant mind, and add to that brilliant communication skills.
  • @MrGuddimagg
I love how Brian is always open minded about any ideas and is always so passionate in his talk about science.

Brian Greene is one of those guys that is very engaging to listen to, while being able to make the higher concept quantum stuff easier for the layman to digest.
  • 9:25 - Molecular Darwinism summed up perfectly. This 3 minute wedge of video had fueled alot of my personal journey in Environmental and Evolutionary science. Words cannot thank Brian Greene enough.

Brian is one of the best orators I’ve ever known. I try to copy his hand motions and speech emotions but I’ll need a couple decades to get there. Also, the book is an absolute eye opener. The audio book is a universe in itself (parallel or not I’ll leave it up to you).

I have been fascinated with Brians grapple with consciousness over these last few years. I have heard him say dogs are not conscious to the extent we are but of course they are and suffer from many of the same psychosis humans do. In recent years there have been experiments testing plants consciousness or you may prefer to call it learned behaviour - where they learn very quickly that being dropped (in a pot) does not need to set off their defences - and then this learned behaviour is "remembered" for over a year (so far). Our consciousness effects water and plants shown in simple experiments that I look forward to Brian explaining one day as he continues his grapple 🙂 - great book btw - I bought the audio copy.
  • Amazing, articulate conversation, where there is no repeated question or answer the content of which is so top grade level.
