Props to the cameraman for riding another worm beside him just to film him
  • @SAVINGEZRA
This scene in IMAX was like an out of body experience. Unlike anything else in cinema. Makes me wish this film could stay in IMAX forever
  • The sandworms treat those thumpers like humans treat any alarm clock. Its why we respect the worms so much.

When they start kneeling and praying and Chani starts to realise that they are turning into followers, truly horryfic. Also the very shot as they get dimmed out while doing so as if they are loosing their individuality, great scene!
  • Just realised the fremens prayer is grabbing water with youre hands and pouring it over you .

3:51 my entire body was vibrating in IMAX

I'm just picturing "Yes i did it! i got on the giant worm!....now how do i get off without dying?" XD
  • 5:44 we all took spice and got high at that epic moment. The religious music theme, the scream of fremens, the sandstorm, all combined together 🤯

Sound design on this was unreal

I love how Frank Herbert explains in the later books like God Emperor and Heretics is that presience doesn't so much see the future as they see possibilities in multiple futures then cement the outcome with their own consciousness, Paul's second son Leto2 kept humanity Locked into his Golden path for 3,500 n many years after his death
  • One thing that bothers me about this scene is he doesn't have his goggles on when waiting for the worm but when he gets on they are magically on his face
  • @lordcrunk4790
Why did the worm at the last minute not go straight to the thumper on the left side of the dune where Paul walked from it, but instead veered far to the right? All worms seek out and destroy any mechanical vibrations on/in the sand.

Experiencing this movie, & particularly this scene, in IMAX opening weekend while off an edible? Genuinely will never forget it

What I don't get is.. why are the scales/skin plates orientated towards the front of the worm? I mean, holding them open inhibits the worm from diving back beneath the sand do to sand being able to get inside, right? Then wouldn't the natural evolution of the worm have evolved the scales to orientate towards the back do to this reason? Sand would be getting in there without the Strattle claw things. I dunno tho.. the plot has to happen some how I guess.
