Yes, you've heard of 'No man left behind', but have you heard of 'No threat left alive'? We might not be all-powerful, we might not be immortal, hell, we're not even all that intelligent on the galactic common scale... But goddamnit we're as spiteful as they come. We evolved to walk other creatures to death by exhaustion. Don't make this a contest of who has the longest breath.

I love when the humans are the scary ones in a sci-fi story.

Humans are pursuit predators. Not the fastest predators out there, but we have incredible stamina & determination.

What I like about this story is that there are actually shreds of real human history reflected here, making the whole thing not implausible.

I'm Australian. This gave me a giggle that our wildlife even scares bug eyed monsters from Outer Space.
