Don't know if Lori will ever see this, I play bass and sing (some) in an Irish Pub in Vegas (played in Nashville 1990-2001), and I brought the family down and sang this to my son Adam on his 21st birthday. Thanks for a very touching song.

I've said some harsh things this week. I forgot why I accepted to help in the first place. You will hear no more from me about how I wrote this song. Mood swings can do that. I want nothing but love for Lori. Honesty and honor matter though. Tim arranged and helped on this song and it's not fair to him to not being given credit for his part either. But the history and experiences of these words were lived by myself and my sister and brothers. It touched a personal place in many others as well as the many comments testify to in this forum. Thank you all for your shared words, feelings and experiences. You have warmed my heart so much and let me know that on that day I did more than just give a young man a ride to Tennessee.
