Is Vaping MORE Dangerous than Cigarettes? (Smokers Must Watch...)

Smoking is so hard to quit because it is more than just an addiction to nicotine. You are trying to break the nicotine addiction, along with breaking 2 different habits as well. Nicotine is very addictive, and this addiction is hard enough to break on its own. When trying to quit smoking, you also have to break the Social Habit of smoke breaks, going out to smoke, and smoking with friends and family; and you have to break the Physical Habit of smoking, the hand-to-mouth habit (much like nail-biting).

Trying to break an addiction and 2 habits all at the same time is often too much for most people. Better would be to break the Social Habit and the Physical Habit first. Once you’ve broken these 2 habits, you can focus all your energy on weaning and breaking the nicotine addiction. This method seems more realistic, and will likely lead to much greater success. You may have heard news stories asking the question, "Is Vaping more dangerous than Cigarettes", I worry about the intentions and motivations of such news stories.

Smoking, while eating a healthy diet, cancels so many of the health benefits of eating a healthy diet. Approaching your habits and your addiction with a rational, well-thought-out approach will give you the greatest chance of success. I don't want you to smoke or vape, but one is certainly less bad than the other...

IF YOU DON'T CURRENTLY SMOKE THEN DON'T START VAPING!

Thank you dr ken. Vaping is what finally broke my nearly 30 year addiction to cigarettes.

I started smoking since my teenage, got addicted to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I broke a 35 year, 1 1/2 pack a day, going to be on oxygen within the year habit with vaping, i havent had a cigarette in 5 years and have went from 18 mg nic to 3mg and getting ready to go 0mg and then no vape
  • @rumbecker5085
I love your no BS approach Ken!!! I smoked a pack a day for 20 years and quit last year with vaping. Between quitting smoking and losing 100 lbs in the last year with keto, I have never felt so great.

Agree 100% and so glad you posted this. I'm a dentist and I've been trying to get my smoking patients to move down to vaping. I always knew of the health detriments of smoking--and assumed whatever poor teeth they had was an indirect result of that. But I read Gary Taubes's book on sugar, and I discovered something I never knew: Cigarette tobacco is compounded with sugar! So in addition to all the toxins, you're being bombarded with sugar. And so it directly destroys the teeth. That makes switching to vaping even more of an important step toward ultimately quitting the habit. Of course, the government considers vaping as bad as smoking--that's so they can control and mandate. And the media and mainstream medicine tell you it's just as bad--that's to scare you and keep you addicted to cigarettes and sick to support the massive trillion dollar healthcare industry.

Smoking cigarettes and vaping are both bad habits, but one is much less-bad than the other!

I smoked for 33yrs and quit after I started vaping. I started next to the highest mg, but worked my way down to no nicotine after a year. Smoke free for 7 1/2 yrs now.. :)
  • Thank you! Finally, a doctor acknowledged this. Everyone is so worried about liability. We just need solid info....
  • @mk45gunnr25
Smoked for 30 years and tried to quit multiple times, was horribly ineffective every time....till I started vaping. Been over a year now since I had any tobacco product. Back to running and biking, can walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath and I smell much better. Thank God for the vaping. Probably the only way I was ever quitting cigarettes.
  • @TheRealRealOK
I know many people who quit via vaping. It’s a great means to quitting a terrible habit.
  • @carolecoote1926
Vaping has saved my life. After losing my husband I was smoking a stupid amount. I attended NHS Stop Smoking Clinics but they didn’t help. I tried vaping and now I loathe the smell and sight of cigarettes. I have to confess that after 10 years I continue to vape. I recently went through a battery of blood, X-Rays, ECG, and a lung function test. These were precautionary tests in relation to my starting a new, for me drug which carries the risk of side effects. The results were all good.
  • Yessss, Dr. Berry! When I saw this pop up I thought, "Ohhhh boy am I gonna have to stop following him?" I stopped smoking with vaping 7 years ago after smoking 2 packs a day for about 24 years. I then worked my way down to 0mg nicotine and quit vaping. I fully believe vaping saved my life. My mom also quit with vaping after smoking for 25 years and my dad quit smoking after 50 years with vaping!! Vaping saved my family!!!
  • Dr Berry I work in the FDA regulatory world and have spent a lot of time on this since vaping became a regulated product. I don't want to pretend I am an expert but I have learned a lot. I have followed you for sometime and this surprised me. You could not have nailed this down more accurately and efficiently. Vaping is harm reduction without question. Great job I will be sharing
  • @girlsaint
Vaping saved me from smoking. At the beginning, people would try and scare me away from it, and I would go back to cigarettes every time. I have learned that if I must have a vice, vaping is the better choice. (I have also been followed by a cardiac rehabilitation team for several years, so I have the data to back up the choice that I made)
  • I started vaping 5 years ago and was able to finally break a 20 year smoking addiction. I feel SO MUCH healthier now. Lost my smokers' cough, and can do things without getting winded. That along with Keto and I feel like I am in my 20s again.
  • I vaped with 0 nicotine to the point I didn't need that ether it's been over 2 years smoked for 32 years
  • Vaping is what got my husband to quit after 20 years! He slowly lowered his nicotine and now he's free of it all! None of those patches or prescription drugs (FDA approved crap ) compare to vaping! Thank you so much for this video, I hope it goes viral!
  • @leorasmoot6422
I stopped smoking 7 years ago thanks to vaping. I tried it when it first came out and it took me exactly 1 week to quit cigarettes. I slowly cut down on the mg of nicotine and after 3 years I was vaping at 0mg nicotine, I was vaping out of habit. It took another 6 months to stop vaping but I haven't had a cigarette or vaped in several years now. It was a drawn out process but then again, I smoked for over 40 years! I tried everything on the market to quit, including Chantix. Nothing worked until I tried vaping and because of this I recommend vaping to anyone trying to quit cigarettes!!! Good luck everybody and happy vaping!
