I think at the start of that 2015 year very few people talked about Clemson making it to the CFPs. They could be considered a "Dark Horse" that year. Many of us Clemson fans thought we had a shot but all my friends that followed other teams thought I was nuts.

I fully support the top four power conference champions, regardless of record, to fill out the four first round byes in the 12-team playoff. On field results should always trump the eye test, voting and other nonsense.

UCF and Kansas won’t win in Morgantown.

UCF will be better, but will it be enough.

I think OU is the perfect dark horse for this year. Since OU is a blueblood so they don't get considered for this type of category but OU is a team most people don't think has a shot at the playoffs. They will be ranked in the pre-season, so maybe that disqualifies them, but I think they're sneaking around under the radar right now.

To put Rutgers on the list but not Huskers is criminal! The Huskers could lose to Ohio st and then even USC or Iowa, go 1-1 between those two teams and beat Wisconsin at home, they’ll be a 2 loss team likely finish in the top 4-5 teams in big ten and have a playoff shot.
