What's good, BKC FAM! I'm hooking up some Mississippi Smoked Cabbage with a new seasoning called Sweet Sharlene from @EddieWrightBBQ . The seasoning is awesome and it absolutely tastes like BBQ! I used lump charcoal from @thegoodcharcoal and Post Oak chunks for fuel and smoke. I enjoyed using the Powerform gloves I got from @SWSustainabilitySolutions. The @Char-Griller Gravity 980 does a great job holding the lower temperatures needed for this recipe.

Recipe
1 Head Cabbage
1 Stick Softened Butter
Sweet Sharlene BBQ Seasoning
8oz Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage
1 Yellow Onion

Fuel up your smoker with lump charcoal and post oak chunks and set it up to cook at 225 degrees. Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the core from the bottom of each section. Mix the butter with one tablespoon of Sweet Sharlene and set to the side. Slice the sausage into bite size pieces. Rough chop the onion into bite size pieces.

Spread the seasoned butter onto the white sides of the cabbage quarters. Smoke the cabbage for one hour at 225 degrees. After smoking for one hour, wrap the cabbage in aluminum foil with the onion, sausage, remaining butter and another sprinkle of seasoning. Turn the smoker up to 275 degrees and add the foil packets to smoker. Cook for 90 minutes. The cabbage is done when it is very tender, but not too mushy. Let everything rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
