I thought Josh was going to go through the students' pantries and fridges and cook them a meal from what he found. Would've loved to see him make a gourmet freezer rat dish
  • Imagine you're a college student who watches joshua and then one day he randomly appears in your dorm with your roommate showing him the kitchen.
  • Not a College student. I'm a 41 yr old dad. Just made the noodles with the stir-fried pork for my family. Solid meal. Keep up the good work, JW
  • If you do this again, it would be so helpful for you to only use ingredients available at students local grocery store! As a college kid who’s only nearby grocery store is a Target Express, high quality and specialty ingredients aren’t often available or cost effective :( this would be super helpful for lots of us!

PLEASE Josh do a whole series going to different college student flats/houses and cooking in there with what you can find!! Im beggin you I've been looking for professional chefs to do something like this for years
  • @PoliAstroN
This needs to be a series, and it doesn’t have to be “for students” or something like that. I’m an adult and I need more of these recipes lol

I am no college student but I am a mum in the throes of postpartum depression. Cooking and meal planning has been such a challenge for me lately so I am very grateful and excited to try out your easy dishes! I especially love that you gave us a cost break down at the end. And the fact that this will dirty a minimal amount of dishes is a huge plus! Thankyou, thankyou!
  • Not even a college student, just a tired dad looking for quicker yet super tasty meals. Really looking forward to making a bunch of these in the coming weeks!! Update: I made 3 of these so far! Pork stirfry, this was insane, so much intense flavor, probably better than 80% of any style of stirfry I've gotten from a Chinese restaurant. Garlic chili oil noodles: Very intense flavor, very good overall. Make sure to use a full pack of noodles. I used about 3 of the 5 bundles of a 16 Oz pack and the chili oil was extremely spicy/overpowering. French toast sticks: Absolutely delicious, super easy to make, pepper added into a cinnamon sugar mixture is a MUST for me from now on.

thank you, my doordash bills were starting to get crazy. I struggle to get into the mindset of "i need to get meal prep done" instead of "this takes too long and im tired" Ive started to start cooking my lunch for the next day while im cooking my dinner when i get home, so that I get it all done at once and i dont have to think about it or stress, I just put on my slippers, put down my coat and backpack and start cooking lol. Having a 9-5 and being in college is CRAZY but you've made it easier for me! thank you! Lots of love!

The dude talking about the bulker and the bulker's dad had me sobbing, it had no reason being that funny. Edit 1: THE BABISH KNIFE YESSSSS

Honestly I would watch a series of joshua going to different dorms and cooking with their food
  • @isJudgingYou
Can you PLEASE make fast dinners for a family? Something that you can just throw down after work… that would be sooo helpful. 😭
  • I'm a college student who is now in charge of cooking a couple times a week for my family, this looks really good.

I would love to see a meals challenge for those on food stamps/ebt/snap. Many of us on ebt have as little as 3 dollars a day to work with, sometimes to feed two people. It would be really helpful to have some idea as to how to somehow make that work, if it's possible.

As a current college student (and this only applies to my personal experience), I have a caveat to all of these recipes: they only work if you have an apartment. A dorm will not work with nearly all of these, mostly because it'll be a single kitchen shared in a dorm of 120+ people (on the low end). Clearly Joshua has no anxiety since he goes to strangers' living spaces and judges their kitchen appliances, but it'd be interesting to see him challenged in that environment.

7:37 what you described as "churro" , it's actually a dish in Spain called TORRIJA (it's literally bread soaked in egg and cinnamon and then lightly fried much in the fashion you show, the pepper though it's something I will try next time). It's existed as long as bread existed in Spain and it's a very common dessert/breakfast traditional humble food. As with all traditional foods , it uses humble ingredients to make a dish fit for kings.
  • Great video josh. I’m not a college student, just a military dad of 4 that loves to cook amazing food for my family. These like basic or meal prep style videos where one ingredient works for multiple meals is amazing and I appreciate it. I don’t have the time or money for fancy, but I want to give the family the best bang for the buck I can.
