Kashmiri Chicken Curry is a lip-smacking main dish recipe that you can cook for your family and friends on special occasions and festivals. Once you start making this chicken recipe at home you would not be able to resist taking a bite of it. This oh-so-delicious dish is a famous recipe of Kashmir and is widely available in all the restaurants across India. *Kashmiri Chicken Masala Recipe*
Heat Oil in a thick bottom non stick wok
1.5 Cup Sunflower Oil
Add the whole spices and cook for 1-2 mins.
1 Tbsp Cumin
10 Cloves
5-6 Cinnamon
25 Black Peppercorns
2 Black Cardamom
1 Mace
4 Green Cardamom
2-3 Bay leaf
Add 1 kg Onion roughly sliced
Fry the Onions to pink
1 Tbsp Salt
250 ml Ginger Garlic paste
1/2 kg medium sized sliced Tomato
Cover the lid and let it cook until the tomatoes turn soft
Keep stirring in between
1 Tbsp Turmeric Powder
1.5 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
2.5 Tbsp Coriander Powder
2.5 Tbsp Cumin Powder
1 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
Mix well
Add 400ml Water
Cover and let it cook for 5 mins
3 Tbsp Biryani Masala
10 Green Chillies
Saute 2-3 minutes
Add 1.5 kg Chicken
Mix well to coat the masala
Cover and let it cook for 8-10 mins
Keep stirring in between
Add 250gm Curd
Saute 5 mins
Cover and let it simmer for 10 mins
Keep stirring in between
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Saute 2 mins
Cover and let it cook for 2 mins
Add 500ml Water
Cover and cook on medium flame for 10-12 mins
Don't forget to stir in between
Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves
Again cook for 3-4 mins
