I like that in the Netherlands we just call this owl the "oohoo" after the sound they make XD
  • It's so funny when every other baby animals are so cute then they just become sharper as they grow. Owls... they're gorgeous when they're adults, owlets just look like deformed puppets or dust bunnies lol.
  • @CTAigis
I love those gorgeous orange eyes. Owls are one of my favorite animals and definitely my favorite bird so I'm glad to learn more!
  • @CharlyDeamen
My favorite owls. Another example of "cute" meets "deadly". Nature really loves to make gorgeous animals and then make them utterly deadly. Case and point? This darling, looks like a plushie, but has claws that can snap a rabbit's neck. I was born in Moscow, and well we might have had a breeding pair in the wooded area nearby, every night they would start hooting. I was maybe 4 at the time, and I remember that sound, they kept me awake with that hooting. It seemed so creepy and disturbing back then.
  • They are one of the coolest birds. I live near a forest where quite a few of these live. Everytime I'm in the forest when it's dark outside, I like to just shout "hoot hoot" into the woods and they will useally reply and hoot back. It's so cool because it feels almost like I'm talking with them.
  • @Ama-Elaini
Those eyes are so fiery that they're seen even in the dark. Wow.
  • Magnificent bird. One is loose in Central Park, NY presently. Vandals opened his enclosure at the Central Park zoo. His name is Flaco. Hope he is recaptured safely.
  • This owl is absolutely cute! I understand that this owl has extremely long distance vision and even hunt during the daylight, but I guess that's why it has such a large cute eyes :D
  • I held a Eurasian eagle owl at a falconry display in York Gardens some years ago her name was Henriette and she was beautiful, large and quite heavy. When I handed her back to the falconry fellow she started acting up and flapping her wings a she was so powerful doing so I thought she was going to blow us both over. The Eurasian eagle owl has to be one of my favourite birds of prey after spending some time with one.
  • I love that this owl sounds kinda like a guy pretending to be an owl.
  • @Col28
3:39 "freaking adorable" indeed! One of the most beautiful animals ever! I love owls. Thanks for the video.
  • The Old World's counterpart of the Great Horned Owl. Large, powerful, aggressive owls that aren't picky about their prey. A video on the Barred Owl and/or Screech Owls would be interesting.
  • @Pipsqueaker88
All the deadly things, have to be the cutest things ever. COME ON NATURE!!
  • @purplestarowl89
Wow gorgeous beautiful Owl's Nocturnal is A GODDESS Forever.
  • Eurasian Eagle Owls (sub species) the fishing owl are really cool too. Very rare to see.
  • Magnificent birds. A zoo in Australia claims that some of their Eagle Owls have 7 ft wingspans. The much smaller Great Horned owl of North America has tremendous talon strength that is said to rival that of the much larger Golden eagle. The talon strength of the Eurasian Eagle owl must be phenomenal.
  • They are beautiful animals, love their eyes and the depiction of their knowledge and wisdom.
