It's an easy answer it would have to be Steve Perry. The front man for Journey from 1977 to 1987 Rock and Roll hall of fame artist Steve Perry. This is the first story from Forrest Howie McDonald's Video Book. Steve was the 75th most influential rock singer of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine. He recorded 9 albums with the rock band Journey and was on top of the world from 1977-88. This is the story of our friendship and chance meeting that led to recording two beautiful songs in April of 1975. Steve Perry and I were in the prime of our lives. P.S. Filming is like playing live music if you mistake you keep on going. Props to a few subscribers who pointed out at the 3:00 mark when describing Steve and I at the the movie All the Presidents Men Al Pacino's name jumped into my head. A split second later I thought crap:

Since I was asked about 'Any Way You Want It' never did I say I wrote the Journey Version only that we rehearsed 3 songs and prior to recording Steve said let's not do 'Any Way You Want It' and I said fine.

    I have just recently started to listen to Journey and Steve Perry’s solo albums after hearing my dad play some of their songs every now and then. My gosh they are incredible! I love love LOVE Perry's voice so much.. I just watched a YouTube video of It’s Over and his voice is absolutely beautiful in it. Even from a teen in the 21st century, Steve Perry is my favorite artist . . . even including his newest album (he still has it!) Thank you for this video, so cool to be listening and seeing someone who has worked with The Voice himself.
