I’m taking you to Kyoto Tower Sando hidden just below the base of the iconic Nidec Kyoto Tower and unknown to many, directly connected to Kyoto station through an underground passage. And at the time of filming this, it’s so surprising how little to no lines there are given that the food is so reasonably priced and rivals the taste of any shops you’d find at many of Kyoto’s traveler destinations, which is why this is has become one of my go-to spots after and before getting off the train with it’s traditional Japanese dishes and unique Kyoto specialities. Here’s the skinny, the first floor hosts souvenir shops, the second floor has a workshop type area and the basement B1 floor is the Food Hall….and where this Kyoto Food Adventure begins as I show you some of my top hitters

Getting away from the masses, introverts appreciate this. Would love to visit Kyoto. I've been thinking about it after watching Makanai
  • Your timing is impeccable. I'm on my way there in the morning.

Hi Paolo, my wife and I are coming to Japan in October 2024 and because of this trip I have recently come across your channel and have watched quite a few in the last couple of weeks. May I say, I enjoy your video’s and find the content very informative, so keep them coming. I recently found your video when you visited your In-laws for New Year and as a grandfather myself loved the interaction between your Father In Law and your son. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I love your video’s and look forward to seeing more, best wishes from Australia.

I live in Houston, TX and we just got our power back on 6 days after the eye of hurricane Beryl passed over our house and this is the first video I see to watch. I'm so dang happy! I love your channel ❤️ it's a good day.

YES THE RETURN OF PAOLO'S FOOD TOURS! These videos were what got me hooked to this channel and incredibly useful for my holiday trips to Japan in the last 10 years or so!
  • @otter-pro
That Wagyu burger looks sooo gooooood. In US, I've always heard "care-uh-mel". I think your original pronunciation was perfectly fine.
  • @tq1925
When I went to Japan last june a couple of buddies and I visited Kyoto tower and we had lunch at Nick Stock. I gotta say those wagyu burgers are next level! I cant recommend it enough!

We didn't get the full Paolo grunt of satisfaction until the third restaurant and it took wagyu beef to bring it out. 🐮🤣
