  • I was just 12 years old when John changed my life. He took my difficult childhood, and calmed me with his music. I miss him to this day! I am now 60.

I was a lowly dishroom worker at Harrah's casino in Stateline, Nevada when John Denver was performing there. He walked through the dishroom just to say "Hi" to us workers. He was so popular, the shows immediately sold out. He put on a special 3 am show free for all the workers and convinced Frank Sinatra to sing a few songs also. A genuine, nice human being.
  • John Denver’s music got me through a very tough time in my life. Take Me Home Country Roads still brings a tear to my eye.

He has the clearest voice and everything he sings you understand. Same with Karen carpenter.

What a treat to hear John Denver covering others songs and giving them his expression! Good job on harmonizing with Baez which seems a challenge given the differences in their voices.
  • That was John all over, one of the loveliest humans that my wife & I had the pleasure to call a friend. RIP Amigo, we miss you.
  • He sure went from geeky dude to handsome polished entertainer through the years. We miss you John.

  • My only wish is to have the Millennials listen to this music. And the music of John Denver.
  • I am so glad that I met him just a few years before he left us. So much a remarkable human.
  • John Denver was an established lyrical songwriter/ poet when I was taking baby steps in the 70' s to start writing poetry and playing guitar. He was a great inspiration. I am so proud of his timeless music. I enjoyed watching him in his movie with George Burns " Oh God! ". Besides the timeless treasures of his ..well written songs, John Denver was also blessed with a very soothing and string vocal cords. He will continue to stay as my best male vocalist / songwriter in my book. I for one, I hope many others, too will keep his music forever in our hearts. Amy Estrada
  • Thank you John for your voice, your music and your smile. It is missed
  • I remember his death as a very sad day, but hearing him again after all these years, I now think what a remarkable performer was John Denver.
  • John Denver was perhaps the ONLY person who could tackle 'A Day In A Life' and not look stupid. I miss him. And also, I'm in fucking tears. We tried back then. We tried. It is never ending.
