I Stay at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. A hotel and casino located on the northern Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. Circus Circus includes the largest permanent circus in the world. It features circus and trapeze acts, as well as carnival games, at its Carnival Midway. The resort also includes the Adventuredome, an indoor amusement park. BUT it's also not been getting very good reviews on Tripadvisor! Is it that bad .... let's find out!

  • I’m a hotel guy and what caught my eye was not one cleaner anywhere. No people polishing. Good hotels have cleaning staff everywhere. 👀 no matter the time of day, I might add………

As someone who has worked in housekeeping, this is 100% a management/staffing issue. The only way to even approach fixing this is to hire more on-site handymen and maybe double the housekeeping staff. In my experience, hotels are more worried about having more "clean" rooms on hand for last-minute reservations than a good quality clean for guests who have booked in advance. Not only that, but i would assume they're cheaping out on laundry services and cleaning products. It's really sad to see such a fun and interesting concept for a hotel and staple of the city fall into disrepair :(

This is like watching an episode of Gordon Ramsey's Hotel Hell, but like 1000% more polite.

You sir... Had me at the simple mention of bed bug's lol. I will never ever set foot in that tourist trap. Also, if you took luminol and a black light to those rooms, it would probably be brighter than the actual casino...

probably the closest you would come to staying in a fallout new vegas hotel in real life

If the carpet was replaced, building properly scrubbed down and washed, and just some light remodel work to freshen it up while keeping the theme and vibe then they could just remarket it as a "5 Nights at Freddy's" 'haunted' casino for October.

Fear and Loathing taught me all I needed to know about this casino hotel lol.

I need to go take a shower after watching you stay at Circus Circus. Thank you for warning us! Eww gross!

I work in an law firm dealing with asbestos. Had someone call in and state that their wife worked for circus circus and died of lung cancer. Not a smoker, nor in any of the usual workplaces you pick it up. But he said she worked there for YEARS and had to sign a waiver being made aware they were removing asbestos but were not warned they needed to wear masks. Awful
  • $35 for that breakfast buffet is borderline criminal. Also, I'm 99% sure what you thought were grits is actually corned beef hash.

This brought back horrible memories of my time in an MLM and the conference took place here. I also got major food poisoning after eating shrimp pasta in the dining restaurant.

This place needs a PROPER revitalization. This means a huge clean and repair overhaul while KEEPING all the classic fixtures and elements. Replace linens, carpets, repair fixtures and plumbing etc., and of course, repaint/wallpaper the halls and rooms but keep the statues and fixed elements. So much potential here for seasonal activities! Imagine the carnival fun for summer or the spooky atmosphere they could implement for Halloween.

As a building and electrical contractor from the UK , you could spend £20 million on Circus Circus and you’d see a very minimal improvement, It looks soulless, and unloved, I’d also say it operates with 25% of the staff needed to keep it clean and maintained it’s a huge property, great show Tim

They seem to have removed the terrifying clown pictures from the rooms. I’m wondering why this hotel hasn’t been demolished yet.

I got married at the chapel in circus circus. Worst decision of my life, but don't tell my wife I said that.

We stayed in Circus Circus about 15 or so years ago. Even then, it wasn't high end --- but it was kept clean. Considering how high the resort fees have gotten, there is just no excuse. I think the smell you noticed was stale cigarette smoke. Many of the "old school" Vegas casinos are absolutely infused with it. I'm not sure they can get rid of it, short of tearing out the actual walls.

Circus Circus was the first hotel I ever stayed in. I'm 67 and was around 13 or 14 when I went with my best friend's family to Las Vegas. It was the ONLY hotel in Vegas that had any activities for children besides a pool. The circus acts over the casino floor were fun. The arcade games were fun and free. I actually got to see Elvis on that trip. He didn't impress me as much as the water pistol shooting into the clown's mouth arcade game did. (I was a Beatles fan).😊 It's sad that it has become so run down. Perhaps they should implode it and build another family/kid friendly hotel in it's place. Vegas tried for a while to induce families to visit, but has gone back to adult only themes. It's not really a kid friendly place but there should be one hotel where kids can play too.

I had dinner there in the '90s. There is a Net 8-10ft above you and while you're chewing an aerial artiste will plunge down and land directly above you ... except the Net "gives way" a bit so you think they're going to land in your lap!
