Yesterday I was both livid and heartbroken. Today, watching the MAGA meltdown -- not to mention Joe Manchin's ludicrous ill-considered reaction -- I am enjoying deep belly laughs and also full of pride and gratitude for President Biden. He joins Jimmy Carter in the pantheon of Democratic leaders I respect.

There is next to no chaos on the democratic side right now. Biden gracefully bowed out, Kamala got to work in obtaining the endorsements of the majority of democrats in the House and statewide delegations, she has earned the blessings of Pelosi and the progressives throughout Congress etc.. Even Joe Manchin isn't gonna try and screw up anything. This has been about as smooth as you can make it for the democrats going onwards to the DNC.
