I took acid last night and it made me realise we are ultimately alone in this reality, yes there are other people but only one self, we have no reason to trust anything over our own brain and this has been a hard pill to swallow because I’ve always wanted someone in my life that was just like myself, wich is strange because I have myself already.

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.” ~Terence Mckenna
  • Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

Go it alone, especially if you are a grounded individual. Not having much experience with mushrooms I decided to take a heroic dose and went it alone in spite of repeated advice to the contrary. It turned out to be a wonderful experience and I'm glad that I took the risk. Surrender is truly key and comes easily to anyone with real meditative experience.
  • I love his voice and his temperament. He's like the psychedelic love child of Mr. Rogers and Joseph Campbell.

The infantile part is our arrested development. It takes a wise and mature parent to raise a child to be able to deal with the complex world. But if a parent can’t mirror the child and fill its needs adequately, it freezes and ceases growing emotionally. So now, as Terrence said, we are still children who missed the time to interact with the world in such a way as to create confidence in our ability to navigate reality. We often never had a firm place to ground and then individuate from the mother, so we’re prey to looking outside of ourselves for someone to see us and tell us what to do. The culture doesn’t acknowledge this condition. We act as if all a person is, is their outward presentation self. A person can be filled with inner turmoil, yet go through a lifetime without ever discussing it or having anybody see it. Multiply that by millions, and you have a big problem. Thank you for posting and thank you for being alive Terrence. You have lifted my soul.
  • Terrence is a timeless phenomenon as is Alan Watts. We are so fortunate to have these recordings.

Thank you so much, for not spoiling his beautiful and funny flow of words with cheesy music or visuals!
  • I absolutely love being alone... 8 years of bliss and counting. Whenever I want a reminder of what I am missing, I'll go in public, and totally enjoy the company, but I still long for the late eve return home to peace. So satisfied.

After listening to so much Terrance Mckenna I've come to many realizations. Perhaps most importantly, that we are all deeply programmed by this societal matrix and we must escape it or realize our way out of it. We/I must trust intuition above external stimuli. I/we must become sovereign.

2:13 A lack of knowledge destroys the people. It all comes down to immaturity and lack of understanding all things. Where are all the other like-minded people at in this world? We all need to be taking a very deep look into the mirror at ourselves. It's that time in human history 🌗
  • The idea of “narrowing” really hit home with me. Society telling us who we need to be really creates a derivative of our true selves.
