The Ringcon that comes with Ring Fit Adventure is an interesting take on what has been a standard tool in the exercise world for a while now. There have been a lot of people who were curious as to how the Ringcon itself worked and if there was anything to it. Today we'll take it apart and see how it works and how it is actually connected to an old Nintendo peripheral from the 80s.

Jon claims to be interested in the electronics inside things. But he just really, really likes finding and unscrewing screws.

So there's nothing around the entire rubber thing but is just the chip on the top that detects the entire thing, that's amazing

to quote the guy from every pokemon game, "Technology is amazing!"

Ring Fit Adventure has easily been the most effective way to keep me having fun and staying interested in working out. I picked it up a bit before Pokemon Sword and Shield came out and I've had an absolute blast with the game and have been seeing actual results (having more energy, being more flexible, and reducing my gut). The game has such a great way to incentive you to keep going and making progress, gaining levels and XP and learning new skills, and I've really been enjoying the character designs and story elements. The writing is great too. I can't recommend this game enough! With all of that being said, it's really neat to see what makes the Ring-Con tick! Great video man!

It never ceases to amaze me how forward thinking Nintendo are they really do innovate better than all the others.

I bought Ring Fit yesterday, and the fact I worked out without realizing it due to having fun doing it is amazing. Didn't expect to sweat easily, I really hope they keep making games like these!

I bought it to start 2021 with a blast, knowing the pandemic would still be around. It really helps cope with insolation as an anti-depressant! On day 12 so far, level 42, and I noticed a lot of improvement on my physical and mental health already. I highly recommend it.

To me the most interesting thing here is that the Joy-cons can take some degree of inputs through the rails. I'm fairly certain we didn't know that before the Ring-con. Lots of things that could open up.

THANK YOU! I was one of the people asking for you to open it. To clarify: there are a lot of knock-off Ring-cons online, and the game can be bought digitally (Japanese eShop only). I wanted to know what was inside to know if I should really buy the original. Today, I decided to, because I trust the materials and internals will be better than saving a little.
  • I work out with it for about 1 hour every other day and man I can work up a sweat !!

Im here in Ireland and the ring fit has been sold out since before Christmas.... I can't get it anywhere local, I believe it's also been sold out also in the UK
  • I've been using ring fit for a couple of weeks now. It's definitely a lot better and more engaging than Wii fit ever was which makes it easier for me to want to do it on a regular basis. Really interesting to see how it works
  • OH THANK GOD. I've been looking all over the place trying to find teardowns of the ring con 😭

My wife wanted her own Switch just so she can play Ring fit. Now that she has it she has downloaded a number of games from the eshop. I'm really surprised.

I've been having a blast with Ring Fit Adventure, I normally do 30 minutes a Day Monday through Friday 💪🏻😜Thanks for the break down! Pretty cool🎶✨I was wondering how it all worked 🎮
  • @ReneXYZ
I workout 40 minutes 4 days a week, two of them with RingFit Adventure. At the beginning I considered these days as my "easy" workouts but after chapter 5 they are now normal workout days 😅
  • @FLUNDYGAMING
Finally caught one of your vids early lol Always great quality stuff man!

Great video! It was really cool to see how the flex input works with the game. I’ve been loving the game and the workout it gives. I am still curious though, how does the multitask mode work with this Ring-Con? The multitask mode with the Ring tracks your activity when the game is closed, the Switch is completely turned off and the Joy-Con is disconnected. How does it store that data? Is the Ring storing it? The Joy-Con? Or is it somehow transferring the data to the Switch while in sleep? Curious to hear if you or anyone else knows how this works.

Power Glove, way ahead of it's time. It's amazing to think devices like this have been innovative since the days of the first consoles like the NES.
